Indian Motorcycle Grand Prix
The Indian motorcycle Grand Prix, to be held under the name Grand Prix of Bharat is a planned motorcycle race due to form part of MotoGP from 2023 at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. Previously, the Buddh International Circuit was supposed to host a round of the 2013 Superbike World Championship. However, that race was cancelled due to operational charges of the circuit. Circuit The race will be held at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida near New Delhi from 2023. The circuit was designed by German architect Hermann Tilke. Four million cubic tons of earth were moved to achieve the rise and fall through the lap. The track is spread across an area of , and is a part of Jaypee Green Sports city. Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the premier class of motorcycle road racing events held on road circuits sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). Independent motorcycle racing events have been held since the start of the twentieth century and large national events were often given the title Grand Prix. Greater Noida is a Planned community, planned city located in Gautam Buddha Nagar district of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The city was created as an extension to Noida, Noida area under the ''UP Industrial Area Development Act, 1976''. 2013 Superbike World Championship
The 2013 Superbike World Championship was the twenty-sixth season of the Superbike World Championship. It began on 24 February at Phillip Island and finished on 20 October at the Circuito de Jerez after 14 rounds. The season saw the number of riders per row on the starting grid reduced from four to three; the knockout system in use for Superpole was revised as the number of riders admitted to the first and to the third session changed from sixteen to fifteen and from eight to nine respectively. In addition, pit stops with tyre changes were introduced in order to avoid races to be interrupted due to variable weather conditions. Superbike World Championship (also known as WorldSBK, SBK, World Superbike, WSB, or WSBK) is a silhouette-class road racing series based on heavily modified production motorcycles, also known as superbike racing. The championship was founded in . The Superbike World Championship consists of a series of rounds held on permanent racing facilities. Each round has two full length races and, from 2019, an additional ten-lap sprint race known as the Superpole race. The results of all three races are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for riders and one for manufacturers. Hermann Tilke
Hermann Tilke (born 31 December 1954, in Olpe, Germany) is a German engineer, racing driver and circuit designer, who has designed numerous Formula One motor racing circuits. Racing During the 1980s, Tilke competed in touring car racing, mainly on the old Nürburgring Nordschleife circuit. He also competed in VLN endurance racing and the 24 Hours Nürburgring. He and Dirk Adorf won some VLN races with a V8Star Series in 2003 and 2004.
