The India cricket team toured England between July and September 2018 to play five Tests, three One Day International (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20Is) matches. India also played a three-day match against Essex in July at Chelmsford. India won the T20I series 2–1. In the second T20I, MS Dhoni played in his 500th international cricket match. He became the ninth player overall, and the third Indian, to reach this milestone. England won the ODI series 2–1, making it their eighth consecutive bilateral ODI series win. Joe Root
Joseph Edward Root, (born 30 December 1990) is an English international cricketer, who plays for the England Test and One Day International (ODI) teams, and formerly captained the Test team. County Cricket Ground, Chelmsford
The Essex County Ground (ECG) is a cricket venue in Chelmsford, Essex, England. It has been used by Essex County Cricket Club for first-class cricket since 1925 and List A matches since 1969, and has been the county's official home ground since 1967. The ground has a capacity of 6,500, mostly in single-tier seating with a single double-tiered stand. Its pavilion was completed in the 1970s. History Essex's first match at the ground took place in June 1925 against Oxford University. and their first County Championship game at Chelmsford was against Somerset in 1926. The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. Jonathan Marc Bairstow (born 26 September 1989) is an English cricketer who plays internationally for England in all formats.
