Indian Super League
The Indian Super League (ISL) is the men's highest level of the Indian football league system#Men's, Indian football league system. Administered by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) and its commercial partner Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), the league currently comprises 13 clubs across India. The season runs from September to March and includes a 24-round Season (sports)#Regular season, regular season followed by Indian Super League playoffs, playoffs involving the top six teams, culminating with the #Championships, ISL Final to determine the ISL Cup winners. At the end of the regular season, the team with the most points is declared the ISL champions and presented with the League Winners' Shield. Until 2021–22 season, the ISL Cup winners were designated as champions but later from 2022–23 season, the champions designation was given to table toppers instead of playoff champions. All India Football Federation
The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is the national governing body of football in India. It is a member of FIFA, the international governing body of football and affiliated to Asian Football Confederation. It is affiliated to Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of India and a member of South Asian Football Federation. AIFF's teams India men's and women's football teams represents India in men's and women's international football tournaments, friendlies respectively. The AIFF manage, sanctions, conducts, schedules and runs all national level football tournaments and leagues in India, including major tournaments Indian Super League, I-League and Super Cup. The federation also indirectly manages local football competitions through its member state associations.
