Services Sports Control Board
Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) is a sports board run by the Indian Armed Forces. It was formed in 1919 as the Army Sports Control Board and later renamed to Services Sports Control Board. The board is represented as Services in the National Games of India. It has been one of the leading medal winners in the National Games. As a member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, it governs the sport of cricket in the Indian Armed Forces and administers the Services cricket team. It is also an associate member of the All India Football Federation and administers the Services football team. They have several other sport departments. The 2018–19 Kerala Premier League Season was the sixth season of the Kerala Premier League. The season featured 11 teams which was divided into 2 groups and is played on a home-and-away format. The season kicked off on 16 December 2018. Kozhikode Quartz, SBI Kerala and Trikaripur withdrawn from the league due to financial problems. IFA Shield
The IFA Shield is an annual football competition organized by the Indian Football Association. The IFA is the governing body of football in the state of West Bengal, came into existence in 1893. Named after the association, the IFA Shield tournament was started in the same year. It is the third oldest football tournament in India, after Durand Cup and Trades Cup, and the one of the oldest football competitions in the world. The royal houses of Patiala and Cooch Behar, A.A. Apcar of Armenian Club and J Sutherland of Dalhousie AC had financially contributed for the inception of the Shield. The coveted shield was designed by Walter Locke & Co. Nadkarni Cup
The Nadkarni Cup is a football competition in Mumbai, India, which was first held in 1908. From 1908–1913, it was known as Junior Rovers Cup which was contested by school and college teams of Bombay (now Mumbai), with the trophy originally provided by G.N. Nadkarni. It is hosted by the Mumbai Football Association. The Cup was not held in 1914-1918 due to World War I but was not immediately revived after the war. In 1925, Western India Football Association allocated Junior Rovers Cup trophy to a completely new tournament only for Indian football clubs and then the new tournament was called Nadkarni Cup.
