India Men's National Volleyball Team
The India men's national volleyball team represents India in international volleyball competitions. It is managed by the Volleyball Federation of India and is currently sponsored by Sahara India Pariwar and Asics. The Indian volleyball team has had a rollercoaster ride in its history. Although they have never qualified for the Summer Olympics, Olympics, they have appeared in the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, World Championship twice. Despite having little to no presence at the world stage in its history, the team has enjoyed some success at the continental level by clinching a silver medal and two bronze medals at the Asian Games. Asian Men's Volleyball Championship
The Asian Men's Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. The initial gap between championships was four years, but since 1987 they have been awarded every two years. The current champion is Iran, which won its fourth title at the 2021 tournament. History The first tournament was held in 1975 with the participation of seven national teams. Japan captured the first gold. FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The initial gap between championships was variable, but since 1962 they have been held every four years. The current champion is Italy, who won their fourth title at the 2022 tournament, defeating Poland in the final. The current format of the competition involves a qualification phase, which currently takes place over the preceding three years, to determine which teams qualify for the tournament phase, which is often called the ''World Championship Finals''. The former format was 24 teams, including the automatically qualifying host nation(s), compete in the tournament phase for the title at venues within the host nation(s) over a period of about a month. Japan Men's National Volleyball Team
The Japan men's national volleyball team ( ja, 男子バレーボール日本代表) represents Japan in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Japan Volleyball Association. Their nickname is "''RYUJIN NIPPON (龍神 NIPPON)''", meaning "Japanese Dragon God" or "Dragon God of Japan" in Japanese. Japan won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games, followed by silver at Mexico 1968 and a gold at Munich 1972. The years after this have been less successful. The Iran Men's National Volleyball Team is the official national men's volleyball team of Iran. It is governed by the Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (I.R.I.V.F.) and takes part in international volleyball competitions. The Czechoslovakia national men's volleyball team was the national volleyball team for Czechoslovakia that had represented the country in international competitions and friendly matches between 1948–1993 FIVB considers Czech Republic (national team) as the inheritor of the records of Czechoslovakia (1948–1993). The Czech team’s first participations in international competitions saw them win a gold medal at the inaugural European Championship in 1948 which kick-started a golden age for the team. France Men's National Volleyball Team
The France national men's volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. It was the reigning European Champion in 2015 and is ranked 2nd (as of 25th July 2022) in the FIVB world ranking. France have been competing in the World League ever since the inaugural edition in 1990 and continuously since 1999. In 2006 they finished second to Brazil but had their share of disappointment in subsequent seasons. In 2009 they narrowly missed making the Final Six, falling at the last hurdle to Slovenia.
