The India men's national under-21 field hockey team represent India in men's international under-21 field hockey competitions. It is controlled by Hockey India, the governing body for field hockey in India. They are one of the most successful junior field hockey team in the world having won the World Cup twice and Asia Cup thrice. The 1982 Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup was the 2nd edition of the Men's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, the triennial men's under-21 field hockey world championship organized by the International Hockey Federation. The 2009 Hockey Junior World Cup was the ninth tournament of the Hockey Junior World Cup. The tournament was co-hosted in both Johor Bahru, Malaysia and Singapore from June 7 to June 21, 2009. It was contested by 20 teams with Germany defeating Netherlands in the final to claim their fifth Junior World Cup title.
