Lucayan Archipelago
The Lucayan Archipelago (named for the original native Lucayan people), also known as the Bahama Archipelago, is an island group comprising the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and the British Overseas Territory of the Turks and Caicos Islands. The archipelago is in the western North Atlantic Ocean, north of Cuba and the other Antilles, and east and southeast of Florida. Capital Of Jamaica
Kingston is the capital and largest city of Jamaica, located on the southeastern coast of the island. It faces a natural harbour protected by the Palisadoes, a long sand spit which connects the town of Port Royal and the Norman Manley International Airport to the rest of the island. In the Americas, Kingston is the largest predominantly English-speaking city in the Caribbean. The Cabinet of the Government of Jamaica is the ultimate decision-making body of the executive within the Westminster system of government in traditional constitutional theory. The Cabinet of Jamaica is the principal instrument of government policy. It consists of the Prime Minister, and a minimum of thirteen other Ministers of Government, who must be members of one of the two Houses of Parliament. Not more than four members of the Cabinet may be members of the Senate. The Minister of Finance must be an elected member of the House of Representatives. Black River, Jamaica
Black River is the capital of St. Elizabeth Parish, in southwestern Jamaica.Black River Jamaica National Heritage Trust. It developed as a port around the mouth of the river of the same name. This is a list of the bird species recorded in Jamaica. The avifauna of Jamaica included a total of 331 species as of July 2022, according to ''Bird Checklists of the World''. Of them, 28 are endemic, 19 have been introduced by humans, and 159 are rare or accidental. Another species (great-tailed grackle) is concentrated in one area and might also have been introduced. Six species have been extirpated. Sixteen species are globally threatened. An additional accidental species has been added from another source. This list is presented in the taxonomic sequence of the ''Check-list of North and Middle American Birds'', 7th edition through the 63rd Supplement, published by the American Ornithological Society (AOS). Army Of Jamaica
The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) is the combined military of Jamaica, consisting of an infantry Regiment and Reserve Corps, an Air Wing, a Coast Guard fleet and a supporting Engineering Unit. The JDF is based upon the British military model, with similar organisation, training, weapons and traditions. Once chosen, officer candidates are sent to one of several British or Canadian basic officer courses depending upon the arm of service. Enlisted soldiers are given basic training at JDF Training Depot Newcastle. As in the British model, NCOs are given several levels of professional training as they rise up the ranks. Additional military schools are available for speciality training in Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Hispaniola
