Anthony George Maldon Michell FRS (21 June 1870 – 17 February 1959) was an Australian mechanical engineer of the early 20th century. Early life Michell was born in London while his parents were on a visit to England from Australia to which they had emigrated 17 years earlier. Gladding-Hearn Shipbuilding is a shipyard located in Somerset, Massachusetts on the Taunton River. It primarily builds pilot boats and high-speed catamaran ferries. Gladding-Hearn was founded in 1954 by Preston Gladding and Richard Hearn, and delivered its first vessel, a fishing boat, in 1956. A wave-piercing boat hull has a very fine bow, with reduced buoyancy in the forward portions.
