Inagaki Chūsei
Inagaki Chūsei, originally Kōtarō (Japanese:稲垣 仲静; 1897, Kyoto - 24 June 1922, Kyoto) was a Japanese painter in the nihonga style. His younger brother, Inagaki Toshijiro, was a well-known woodcut artist and textile designer who was named a National Treasure. Life and work He was the eldest son of Inagaki Takejirō (稲垣竹次郎), a nihonga painter who went under the art name of Chikubu (竹埠) and, later, became a craftsman specializing in lacquer work. In 1912, he enrolled at the Municipal School of Arts and Crafts then, upon graduating in 1917, attended the Municipal School of Painting (both now part of the Kyoto City University of Arts), completing his education in 1920. While there, in 1919, he had his first success when he exhibited his painting of a cat at the National Painting Association (国画創作協会). Inagaki, Aomori
was a village located in Nishitsugaru District in western Aomori Prefecture, Japan. Inagaki Village was located in central of Tsugaru Peninsula. The area was part of Hirosaki Domain during the Edo period. After the Meiji Restoration, Inagaki Village was created on 1 April 1889. On 11 February 2005, Inagaki, along with the town of Kizukuri, and the villages of Kashiwa, Morita and Shariki (all from Nishitsugaru District), was merged to create the city of Tsugaru, and thus no longer exists as an independent municipality. Inagaki Toshijiro (稲垣稔二郎) (March 3, 1902 June 10, 1963) was a Japanese katazome artist. His given name is also sometimes read as "Nenjiro". Early life and education Inagaki was born in Kyoto to Takejiro Inagaki, a painter. He was the second child, and his older brother was Chusei Inagaki. He studied at the Kyoto City University of Arts, and graduated in 1922. Career After graduation, Inagaki worked at the Matsuzakaya department store, where he learned to dye cloth. He left the department store in 1931 to focus on his art. In 1938, he began to dye screen paintings using the yuzen method of dyeing. He won an award at the Kokugakai exhibition in 1940, but he entered the spotlight when one of his paintings was selected at the Nitten exhibition in 1941. He was selected twice more after that. , also known as Etsu Inagaki Sugimoto, was a Japanese American autobiographer and novelist. Biography She was born in Nagaoka in Echigo Province (which means "Behind the Mountains") in Japan, now part of Niigata Prefecture. Her father had once been a high-ranking samurai official in Nagaoka, but with the breakdown of the feudal system shortly before her birth, the economic situation of her family took a turn for the worse. Although originally destined to be a priestess, she became engaged, through an arranged marriage, to a Japanese merchant living in Cincinnati, Ohio. was a Japanese writer. Inagaki was born in Osaka, moved to Akashi in Hyōgo Prefecture while he was in elementary school, and spent much of his childhood in Kōbe. He graduated from Kwansei Gakuin Junior High School. In 1923 he published '' One Thousand and One Second Stories (Issen ichibyō monogatari),'' and by 1926 he was counted among members of the short-lived Shinkankakuha group of writers. is a Japanese mangaka, manga writer from Tokyo. He started his career in 2001 publishing works for Shogakukan's magazine ''Big Comic Spirits''. After three one-shot (comics), one-shots, he moved to Shueisha's ''Weekly Shōnen Jump'', in which he started the work he is best known for, ''Eyeshield 21''.
