It also made BBC Radio 2's C-List and BBC 6 Music's A-List. The single was released internationally on 21 August 2006. It peaked at number 17 on the UK Singles Chart. Steven Patrick Morrissey (; born 22 May 1959), known professionally as Morrissey, is an English singer and songwriter. He came to prominence as the frontman and lyricist of rock band the Smiths, who were active from 1982 to 1987. Since then, he has pursued a successful solo career. Jesse Tobias
Jesse Tobias (born April 1, 1972) is an American guitarist who is the lead guitarist and co-writer for Morrissey since 2004. Tobias first gained fame during a brief tenure with the Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1993, although he was replaced by Dave Navarro within a month after joining the band. Before he joined the Chili Peppers, he briefly played with the band ''Mother Tongue''. In 1995, Tobias joined the touring band for Alanis Morissette and from 1999–2005 was a member of the musical duo, Splendid. Life and career In 1990, Tobias formed the band ''Mother Tongue'' in Austin, TX. They were signed to record label in 1992. Matt Walker (drummer)
Matt Walker is an American session musician, known for drumming with Filter, The Smashing Pumpkins and Morrissey, as well as being the regular fill-in to Butch Vig from Garbage on three of their tours (2002, 2016, 2019). Biography Walker began his career in Chicago in the mid-1980s, when he began playing drums for the Chicago bands Scott Bennett & The Obvious, The Clinic, Brad Peterson and Peat Moss and Tribal Opera until joining the band Filter in 1994. Matt toured with Filter in support of the album, '' Short Bus'' until 1996. Filter toured with The Smashing Pumpkins in Europe and when Pumpkins drummer Jimmy Chamberlin was fired after a heroin overdose, Walker was hired to replace Chamberlin. Matthew Chamberlain (born April 17, 1967) is an American session musician, drummer, producer and songwriter. Biography Life and career Chamberlain was born in San Pedro, California on April 17, 1967. He began learning how to play the drums at 15 years old, taking lessons with David Garibaldi from the band Tower of Power. He attended North Texas State's music program, leaving after less than a year. After leaving college, he moved to Dallas, Texas and played with multiple bands, often taking on small gigs. While in Texas, he was hired to play drums on tour with Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, and he recorded two records with the band before they broke up in 1991. Michael Kevin Farrell is an American keyboardist, musical director, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, best known for his work both recording and touring with Alanis Morissette, Morrissey and Macy Gray. Early life Farrell was born and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended John Carroll University where he won a Fulbright Fellowship to study at the University of Waikato New Zealand in 1991. Gary Edward William Day (born 27 June 1965) is a British musician known for playing bass for Morrissey, The Gazmen, The Nitros, Carlos and the Bandidos, and The Poncés. Early life Day learned the double bass in his late teens, the Rockabilly slap-style of playing after being influenced by the UK Rock 'n' Roll and Psychobilly scene bands, especially The Meteors and their bass player Nigel Lewis. Day also revisited classic 1950s rock 'n' roll music, and as time passed he became interested in other forms of music as a natural progression, hence finding new influences to ferment his style, e.g. jazz and blues musicians such as Carol Kaye, Willie Dixon, Red Callender, and Charlie Mingus. Alain Gordon Whyte (pronounced Alan) (born 3 July 1967) is an English musician, songwriter, composer and singer. He was Morrissey's main songwriting partner and guitarist between 1991 and 2007. Prior to 1991, Whyte previously been in the bands Rugcutters, Red Lightning, Motivators, Born Bad and the Memphis Sinners. More recently, he has written for Madonna, Chris Brown, and the Black Eyed Peas, and others.
