''In the Beginning'' is the debut studio album by British ten-piece hip-hop group Blazin' Squad. The album was released on 25 November 2002 in the United Kingdom through East West Records. It peaked at number 33 on the UK Albums Chart. Blazin' Squad were an English hip hop group. The group had seven top ten hits, including "Crossroads", a cover version of the Bone Thugs-n-Harmony original. Jon O'Brien of AllMusic called them the "self-proclaimed pioneers of 'chav' culture". Career ''In The Beginning'': 2002 The band released a number of white label singles on the Weighty Plates label featuring remixes of the track "Standard Flow" from their album '' In the Beginning''. "Standard Flow" was remixed by Ras Kwarme and Origin Unknown, with a version available featuring Jamaican dancehall musician Elephant Man on guest vocals. Even though the releases were issued as underground white labels, "Standard Flow" sold enough copies to chart as Blazin' Squad's first Top 100 chart entry, peaking at number 78 on the chart of 17 August 2002 with three weeks in the countdown. Soulshock & Karlin is a duo of Danish record producers and songwriters, Carsten Schack and Kenneth Karlin. They have produced many successful songs, including Monica's "Before You Walk out of My Life", Whitney Houston's "Heartbreak Hotel", JoJo's "Leave (Get Out)", and Toni Braxton's "I Love Me Some Him". Steven Howse (born September 23, 1974), known professionally as Layzie Bone, is a rapper known primarily for being a member of the group Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. "Reminisce" / "Where The Story Ends" are two songs by ten piece hip-hop group Blazin' Squad, released as a double A-side single from their debut studio album, '' In the Beginning''. Background Although a double A-side released was not originally intended, after the band expressed interest in both songs as singles, the record label decide to pair them together as a double A-side, as they did not wish to release four singles from one album. Although "Reminisce" received more radio and video airplay, "Where the Story Ends" also became a significant part of the single release, and was regularly performed on TV in promotion of the single. "Reminisce" contains a sample from Zapp's 1985 hit-single " Computer Love". The sample is mainly featured in the intro of the song. The single was released on 10 February 2003.
