George Archainbaud
George Archainbaud (May 7, 1890 – February 20, 1959) was a French-American film and television director. Biography In the beginning of his career he worked on stage as an actor and manager. He came to the United States in January 1914, and started his film career as an assistant director to Emile Chautard at the World Film Company in Fort Lee, New Jersey. In 1917 he made his own directorial debut '' As Man Made Her''. During the next three and a half decades he directed over one hundred films. After the beginning of the 1950s he moved to television. While working at RKO Radio Pictures in the beginning of the 1930s, he showed some artistic and skillful eye with many of his films. Vivienne Osborne (born Vera Vivienne Spragg; December 10, 1896 – June 10, 1961) was an American stage and film actress known for her work in Broadway theatre and in silent and sound films. Career Osborne began her career on stage when she was 5 years old, and by the time she was 18 years old, she had spent many years touring throughout Washington with a stock theater company. She made her Broadway debut in ''The Whirlwind'' (1919), and her screen debut in 1919 in a film that never was released. She continued work on Broadway, and appeared in films when not working theater. Osborne's first silent film was in ''The Gray Brother,'' but the film did not have distribution and never was released. From March through December 1928, she appeared in the Florenz Ziegfeld musical version of ''The Three Musketeers.'' Frances Miller (sometimes credited as Frances Grant or Frances Miller Grant) was an American actress who worked extensively during Hollywood's silent era. Like many black actresses of her time, she was often cast in " mammy" roles. Biography Miller may have been born in Kansas City, Missouri, and she later resided in Manhattan and Atlanta. She began appearing in films around 1911, although she may not have been credited for her earliest appearances. She seems to have retired by the early 1930s.
