"In These Arms" is a song by American rock band Bon Jovi. The song was written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and David Bryan. It was released on May 3, 1993, as the third single from the band's fifth studio album, ''Keep the Faith'' (1992). Song information The song's lyrics are about everlasting love and devotion. The song is characterized by a strong bass rhythm, jangling guitars, and very tight, hard drum playing, as well as soulful, emotional singing by Jon Bon Jovi. However, it is not a ballad, as its driving guitars and fast-paced beat and upbeat sound maintain it as more of a pop-rock song, in the vein of "Born to Be My Baby". Bon Jovi is an American Rock music, rock band formed in 1983 in Sayreville, New Jersey. It consists of singer Jon Bon Jovi, keyboardist David Bryan, drummer Tico Torres, guitarist Phil X, and bassist Hugh McDonald (American musician), Hugh McDonald. Original bassist Alec John Such, Alec John such quit the band in 1994. Sadly, he passed away in June, 2022 due to natural causes at the age of 70. The Lost Highway Tour was a worldwide concert tour by American rock band Bon Jovi in support of their 10th studio album, '' Lost Highway''. It took place from October 2007 to July 2008. Originally planned as a 2008 greatest hits tour, the tour was changed to promote ''Lost Highway'' after the album's worldwide success, reaching No. 1 in several countries when released in June 2007. Immediately after the album's release, the band performed a string of promotional summer concerts in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom and Japan. The tour began proper in October 2007 with ten concerts that would mark the opening of New Jersey's Prudential Center, before doing a tour of Canada and then tours of Japan, Australasia, the United States and Europe in 2008. It came into existence as a daily newspaper in 1981 when two formerly independent newspapers, Vísir and Dagblaðið, merged.
