''In Rock We Trust'' is the sixth studio album by American hard rock/ heavy metal band Y&T, released in 1984 through A&M Records. The album became the band's highest charting album at the time, reaching No. 46 on the ''Billboard'' 200 charts. This album was remastered and re-released on the band's official website in 2006. This edition also includes the studio version of "Go for the Throat", which had never before appeared on a Y&T album. The song originally appeared in live form on 1985's '' Open Fire'' album, and was the B-side of their "All American Boy" single. It also appeared on the 1986 hunger benefit ''Hear 'n Aid'' compilation album ''Stars''. Fantasy Studios was a music recording studio in Berkeley, California, at the Zaentz Media Center, known for its recording of award-winning albums including Journey's ''Escape'' and Green Day's ''Dookie''. Built as a private recording studio for artists on the Fantasy Records label in 1971, it was opened to the public in 1980 for recording, mixing and mastering. It was permanently closed on September 15, 2018. History Fantasy Records Fantasy Records and its subsidiary, Galaxy, were established in San Francisco, California, in 1949 by Max and Sol Weiss. Jeff Paris (musician)
Jeff Paris (born Geoffrey Brillhart Leib) is an American vocalist, keyboardist and guitarist who has primarily performed in the hard rock/ heavy metal genre. Still performing under the name Geoffrey Leib, Paris began his career as a session musician in the 1970s, appearing on albums by such acts as Jay Gruska (''Gruska on Gruska'') and Bill Withers ('' Naked & Warm'', '' 'Bout Love''). His initial band was the jazz/soul/disco quartet, Pieces, who released an album in 1979, following which he had a stint with the disco band L.A.X., who released two albums in 1979 and 1980. Paris/Leib started his hard rock career as songwriter on 1984 albums by Lita Ford and Y&T. His credits included "Gotta Let Go" (Ford) and "Lipstick & Leather" (Y&T). He went on to work as session musician on Cinderella's 1986 debut album, playing keyboards. Y&T (originally known as Yesterday & Today) is an American hard rock/ heavy metal band formed in 1972Archived aGhostarchiveand thWayback Machine in Oakland, California, with the line up that would record the first album cementing in 1974. The band released two studio albums on London Records as Yesterday & Today in the 1970s, before shortening their name to Y&T and releasing several albums on A&M Records beginning in 1981, plus albums on Geffen Records, Avex Records, and others. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses.
