Mario Carotenuto
Mario Carotenuto (30 June 1916 – 14 April 1995) was an Italian actor of film and theatre. Biography Carotenuto, the son of a silent film actor and younger brother of the actor Memmo Carotenuto, took various humble jobs for many years before starting his own artistic career in 1946, first as a radio actor and then joining small avanspettacolo companies. He made his film debut in 1950, in ''Abbiamo vinto'', going on to perform as leading or supporting actor in dozens of films, often comedies. He was also very active on stage and television. He died in Rome in 1995. Franco Pesce
Franco Pesce (11 August 1890 – 6 December 1975) was an Italian actor and cinematographer. Life and career Franco Pesce was born in Naples. He was the son of the actor Ettore. At a young age Pesce studied lyric singing with the intention of becoming an opera singer. At 20 years old he abandoned his studies to enter the cinema industry as a film operator. Pesce moved to Rome with the advent of sound film where he became a cinematographer. Later in his life, beginning in 1940, he started a very productive career as a character actor. In his later years Pesce was mainly active in spaghetti western films. He was often credited under English pseudonyms, usually interpreting roles of petulant, pedantic and intriguing old men. Lino Toffolo (31 December 1934 – 16 May 2016) was an Italian actor, singer-songwriter, author, and television presenter. Life and career Born in Murano (Venice), shortly after his debut he moved to Milan where he obtained his first successes in " Derby Club", performing the character of the drunkard who sang his songs in Venetian dialect. Toffolo made his film debut in 1968, in ''Chimera''. He appeared in 24 titles between 1968 and 1978, including films by Dino Risi, Mario Monicelli, Salvatore Samperi, Pasquale Festa Campanile, then focused his works on stage and on television. His variegated career includes three music albums and several music singles, of which the most successful was "Johnny Bassotto", that in 1972 ranked 2 in the Italian Hit Parade.
