''In Between'' (), also known as ''Conjugal Affairs'' and ''The New Age of Living Together'', is a 1994 romantic anthology film. It consists of three stories, by three directors from Hong Kong and Taiwan. The three segments are, in the following order: * ''Star Hunter'' (), written and directed by Samson Chiu. * ''Lonely Hearts Club'' (), written and directed by Yonfan. * ''Unwed Mother'' (), written and directed by Sylvia Chang. Yonfan
Yonfan (born 14 October 1947) is a Hong Kong film director and photographer. Biography He was born in Wuhan, Hubei, Republic of China (1912–49), Republic of China. As the Yang family emigrated from mainland China, they lived first in Hong Kong for 3 years, and then moved to Taiwan when Yonfan was 5 years old. He spent most of his childhood and adolescence in Taichung, Taiwan, and returned to Hong Kong in 1964 as a 17-year-old man to work as a photographer, but left for the United States in 1968 to study film. After a couple of years travelling through the United States, France and Britain, he returned to Hong Kong in 1973, and became a photographer noted for his celebrity portraits. In 1984, he made his box office debut as a director with ''A Certain Romance (film), A Certain Romance''. The Hong Kong Movie Database (HKMDB) is a bilingual (English and Chinese) website started in 1995 by Hong Kong resident Ryan Law to provide a repository for information about movies originating from Hong Kong and the people who created them. The database was initially populated with data on over 6000 films, and reviews from the defunct database hosted at egret0.stanford.edu. In subsequent years it has expanded to contain information on more than 20,000 films and nearly 100,000 people, and includes films from Taiwan and China. The Database HKMDB contains information about films, people, and companies associated with Hong Kong cinema. This includes detailed film credits for cast and crew members as well as image and portrait galleries. The site also includes user-submitted film reviews.
