InProg
InProg was an international progressive rock festival held almost yearly since 2001 in Moscow, Russia. The festival was organised by the Russian Rock-magazine InRock. The organizers of this festival called it "a festival of intellectual music", because except giving to progressive rock artists to perform they also give to Jazz and other genre artists to perform. The official slogan of the festival is "Music for the brains". Though there was an InProg 2007 festival planned, it did not take place because of a low financial situation. "InProg on the Hills" has continued in 2011. A mix of Russian and Ukraine bands played there, including well-known Sunchild. InRock
Rock music became known in the Soviet Union in the 1960s and quickly broke free from its Western roots. According to many music critics, its "golden age" years were the 1980s (especially the era of perestroika), when the Soviet underground rock bands became able to release their records officially. Since then, Russia and Russophone artists in various other countries have developed a varied rock scene that covers virtually all rock genres, from classic and alternative rock to punk and heavy metal. The majority of the Russian bands perform in the Russian language. According to various polls, the most popular Russian rock bands include Kino, Aquarium, Aria, Alisa, Agatha Christie, and DDT. History The early 1960s: Local bard music and first western influences Prior to the late sixties, music in the Soviet Union was divided into two groups: music published by state record company Melodiya, and everything else. Under this second group were the bards, underground folk singer ...

Flower Kings
The Flower Kings are a Swedish progressive rock band formed in 1994 by guitarist and singer-songwriter Roine Stolt. The group began as Stolt's touring band to support his third solo album ''The Flower King''. They continued performing after the tour and have gone on to become one of the most prolific studio recording units in progressive rock, having released over twenty hours of music spread across fifteen studio albums. Their music is similar to early symphonic progressive rock groups such as Yes, marked by sharp dynamic changes, polyrhythms, heavy bass, vocal harmonies, abstract and occasionally nonsensical lyrics, and extended song lengths. History Formation In early 1993, guitarist and singer Roine Stolt had written material for his third solo album ''The Flower King'' and sought for musicians to perform it. He had wanted to release a progressive rock-style album for a while and felt the time was right to pursue the project. The album features Stolt on vocals, guitar, bass ...

Orgia Pravednikov
Orgia Pravednikov (russian: Оргия Праведников, translation=Orgy of The Righteous) is a Russian rock group formed in 1999. The peculiar sound of the band arises from the combination of acoustic (flute and acoustic guitar) and electric (drums, electric guitar and bass guitar) sessions. History ''Orgia Pravednikov'' was formed in early 1999 by a merge of the rock group ''Artel'', whose style can be described as art-rock, and singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist Sergey Kalugin, who had just had his previous act ''Dikaya Okhota'' ('Wild Hunt') disbanded. According to the members of the band, the name Orgia Pravednikov was prompted by the audience asking what the band should be called during one of concerts. Soon after the forming the band released an eponymous single, and in 2001 an album ''Oglaschennye, isydite!''. The band, with its unusual sound combining art-rock flute and Kalugin's acoustic guitar arpeggios, on one part, and a hard electric framework on the ...

Rational Diet
Rationality is the quality of being guided by or based on reasons. In this regard, a person acts rationally if they have a good reason for what they do or a belief is rational if it is based on strong evidence. This quality can apply to an ability, as in rational animal, to a psychological process, like reasoning, to mental states, such as beliefs and intentions, or to persons who possess these other forms of rationality. A thing that lacks rationality is either ''arational'', if it is outside the domain of rational evaluation, or '' irrational'', if it belongs to this domain but does not fulfill its standards. There are many discussions about the essential features shared by all forms of rationality. According to reason-responsiveness accounts, to be rational is to be responsive to reasons. For example, dark clouds are a reason for taking an umbrella, which is why it is rational for an agent to do so in response. An important rival to this approach are coherence-based accoun ...

The Worm Ouroboros (band)
''The Worm Ouroboros'' is a Heroic fantasy, heroic high fantasy novel by English writer E. R. Eddison, first published in 1922. The book describes the protracted war between the domineering King Gorice of Witchland and the Lords of Demonland in an imaginary world that appears mainly medieval and partly reminiscent of Norse sagas. The work is slightly related to Eddison's later Zimiamvian Trilogy, and collectively they are sometimes referred to as the Zimiamvian series. ''The Worm Ouroboros'' is written largely in sixteenth-century English, a nearly unique approach among popular fantasy novels; with Eddison making use of his experience translating Norse sagas and reading medieval and Renaissance poetry. Eddison also incorporated a number of actual early modern poems into the story, including wikisource:Sonnet 18 (Shakespeare), Shakespeare's 18th sonnet, all meticulously credited in an appendix. The book was illustrated by Keith Henderson (artist), Keith Henderson, who also illu ...
