Imoco Volley Conegliano
Imoco Volley is an Italian women's volleyball club based in Conegliano and currently playing in the Serie A1. History The club was founded on 15 March 2012, two months after the bankruptcy of the other volleyball team in Conegliano. In April 2012, it acquired a Serie A1 licence from , that meant the club started playing directly at the highest Italian league. It has been playing under the name since its foundation in 2012. The club won the Serie A1 for the first time in 2015–16, winning the Italian Super Cup a few months later on 8 December 2016. On 5 March 2017, the club won the Coppa Italia for the first time after beating Liu Jo Nordmeccanica Modena 3–0 in the final. In December 2019 the club won the Women's Club World Championship. In 2020, the Imoco Volley won its second Coppa Italia. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, both the Serie A1 and the CEV Champions League were untimely cancelled. The Imoco Volley, with its new name A. Alexa Lea Gray (born August 7, 1994) is a Canadian volleyball player. She is part of the Canadian women's national volleyball team. Professionally, she plays for Series A1 Italian league Imoco Volley Conegliano. Personal life Gray attended high school at Centennial High School in Calgary. She began playing volleyball in sixth grade and played for Calgary Dinos women’s volleyball club and helped them to U15 and U17 provincial champ titles and U16 and U17 national champ title. She also played rugby and basketball in high school. Gray has attributed her motivation to her late mother, Stacey French. Her mother was also an athlete and played basketball at Southern Utah. Kathryn Rose Plummer (born October 16, 1998) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for the United States women's national volleyball team and the Italian club Imoco Volley. Early life Plummer was born to Kevin and Michelle Plummer and grew up in Aliso Viejo, California. She attended Aliso Niguel High School where she played volleyball and graduated in 2016. Career College Plummer was heavily recruited out of high school, getting her first scholarship offer in the 7th grade. She ultimately selected Stanford on a full athletic scholarship. The 2019 Women's European Volleyball Championship was the 31st edition of the Women's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV from 23 August to 8 September 2019. For the first time the Women's EuroVolley was held in four countries: Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Turkey. The number of national teams participating in the event was also expanded from 16 to 24.
