Immortality (video Game)
''Immortality'' is a 2022 interactive film video game developed by Sam Barlow and published by Half Mermaid Productions. It was released for Windows and Xbox Series X/S in August, while Android and iOS versions were released via Netflix in November 2022. A macOS version is also in development. Gameplay The game is based on the fictional model turned actress Marissa Marcel (Manon Gage) who had starred in three movies from 1968, 1970, and 1999 but which were never released. Marcel has since gone missing, creating a mystery for the player to solve. In the same manner as Barlow's prior works '' Her Story'' and '' Telling Lies'', ''Immortality'' incorporates the use of full-motion video for the player to piece together Marcel's fate. The player begins with one clip from one of the three films, and the player can pause and click on a person or item of interest. Sam Barlow (game Designer)
Sam Barlow is a British video game designer, best known as the writer and designer of '' Her Story,'' the two British ''Silent Hill'' games, '' Silent Hill: Origins'' and '' Silent Hill: Shattered Memories,'' and ''Immortality''. He previously worked as a game director at Climax Studios, before leaving in 2014 to become an indie game developer. He published his first independent game, '' Her Story'', in June 2015. In 2017 he founded Half Mermaid, a video game production company based in Brooklyn, New York. Interactive fiction Barlow was active in the interactive fiction scene of the late 1990s, most notably releasing the game ''Aisle'' in 1999. It won the XYZZY Award for Best Use of Medium. The Tribeca Festival is an annual film festival organized by Tribeca Productions. It takes place each spring in New York City, showcasing a diverse selection of film, episodic, talks, music, games, art, and immersive programming. Tribeca was founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2002 to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of Lower Manhattan following the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center. E3 2021
The Electronic Entertainment Experience 2021 (E3 2021) was the 26th E3, during which hardware manufacturers, software developers, and publishers from the video game industry presented new and upcoming products. The event, organized by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), ran as a virtual, online-only event with free access to all, from June 12–15, 2021. Virtual events included keynote sessions from major publishers broadcast from a live stage in Los Angeles, an awards show, and a preview night, as well as helping companies to hold online private meetings with media and businesses. Because of the online-only nature, the event had been rebranded for the year as the Electronic Entertainment Experience rather than the standard Electronic Entertainment Expo. Redaction is a form of editing in which multiple sources of texts are combined and altered slightly to make a single document. Often this is a method of collecting a series of writings on a similar theme and creating a definitive and coherent work. Classified information is material that a government body deems to be sensitive information that must be protected.
