Immingham Bulk Terminal
The Port of Immingham, also known as Immingham Dock, is a major port on the east coast of England, located on the south bank of the Humber Estuary in the town of Immingham, Lincolnshire. In 2019, the Port of Grimsby & Immingham was the largest port in the United Kingdom by tonnage with 54.1 million tonnes of cargo passing through that year. The port was established by the Humber Commercial Railway and Dock Company in association with the Great Central Railway; the dock company incorporated and the works permitted by the ''Humber Commercial Railway and Dock Act'' of 1901. Construction of the dock started in 1906 and was completed by 1912. The original main purpose of the dock was export of coal. Immingham
Immingham is a town, civil parish and ward in the North East Lincolnshire unitary authority of England. It is situated on the south-west bank of the Humber Estuary, and is north-west from Grimsby. Royal Dock, Grimsby
The Port of Grimsby is located on the south bank of the Humber Estuary at Grimsby in North East Lincolnshire. Sea trade out of Grimsby dates to at least the medieval period. The ''Grimsby Haven Company'' began dock development in the late 1700s, and the port was further developed from the 1840s onwards by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway (MSLR) and its successors. Grimsby District Light Railway
The Grimsby District Light Railway (GDLR) was one of three standard gauge railways, all part of the Great Central Railway, promoted by the latter to connect the wider world to Immingham Dock which it built in the early Twentieth Century on an almost uninhabited, greenfield site on the south bank of the Humber, England. Overview The three railways were: *The Barton and Immingham Light Railway, which primarily enabled workers to get to the dock from Hull. *The Humber Commercial Railway, the main artery for goods to and from the dock, and *The Grimsby District Light Railway, which connected the dock with Grimsby, its established neighbour to the south east. Goxhill
__NOTOC__ Goxhill is a large village and civil parish in North Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish taken at the 2011 census was 2,290. It is situated east from Barton-upon-Humber and north-west from Immingham. Goxhill was part of the former Glanford district, part of the county of Humberside, between 1974 and 1996. The village is served by Goxhill railway station, which runs from the town of Barton to the seaside resort of Cleethorpes. Barton And Immingham Light Railway
The Barton and Immingham Light Railway is a railway line in North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, England. It ran from a junction at Goxhill to Immingham Dock. Another spur runs from Immingham Dock to Ulceby. It was later absorbed by the Great Central Railway and later, on grouping, it passed to the London and North Eastern Railway. The railway is used for freight traffic to the ports at Immingham. The section from Goxhill to North Killingholme was mothballed and lifted. The track is still in situ but now overgrown and out of use. The Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway was an early British railway company which existed between 1845 and 1847 with the intention of providing rail services between Grimsby, New Holland and Gainsborough in the county of Lincolnshire. The Humber is a large tidal estuary on the east coast of Northern England. It is formed at Trent Falls, Faxfleet, by the confluence of the tidal rivers Ouse and Trent. Ulceby Railway Station
Ulceby railway station serves the village of Ulceby, North Lincolnshire near Immingham in North East Lincolnshire, England. It was built by the Great Grimsby and Sheffield Junction Railway in 1848 and is located at Ulceby Skitter. It is managed by East Midlands Railway and served by its trains on the Barton line between Cleethorpes and Barton-on-Humber. The station layout is somewhat unusual in that all passenger trains use a single platform, even though the station is located on a double track line. There are junctions at either end of the station, as the branch line from Habrough to Barton-on-Humber meets and then diverges from the busy freight-only line from to Immingham Dock. Stallingborough is a village and civil parish in North East Lincolnshire, England. The population of the civil parish at the 2011 census was 1,234.
