Immergut Festival
The Immergut Festival is a yearly music festival in Germany in Neustrelitz, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The first edition was organised in 2000. The festival focuses mainly on indie rock and is one of the largest festivals in Germany for this genre. Virginia Jetzt! was a German Indie-Pop band founded in the small town of Elsterwerda in Brandenburg in 1999; the quartet dissolved in October 2010. The band has released four albums so far, their 2003 debut album ''Wer hat Angst vor Virginia Jetzt?'' — a reference to the Edward Albee play ''Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?'' — followed by ''Anfänger'' (English: ''Beginner'') in 2004, ''Land Unter'' (English: ''Land Under'') in 2007, and "Blühende Landschaften" (English: "Blooming Landscapes") in 2009. Die Sterne
Die Sterne is a two/three/four-piece indie pop band, from Hamburg, Germany. They were formed in 1991 and have released twelve studio albums, the most recent in 2022. Members The band consists of Frank Spilker (vocals and guitar), Thomas Wenzel (bass and vocals), and Christoph Leich (drums). Frank Will and Richard von der Schulenburg were both former keyboarders for the band. Thomas Wenzel is also a member of the bands '' Die Goldenen Zitronen'' and ''Cow'', while keyboardist Richard von der Schulenburg and singer Frank Spilker pursue their own solo projects. Das Pop
Das Pop was a Belgian band founded in Ghent by school friends Reinhard Vanbergen, Niek Meul, Lieven Moors and Bent Van Looy. Biography Das Pop was initially called Things to Come, but the band changed its name to Das Pop when Tom Kestens joined the band. In 1998, they won Belgium's influential HUMO's Rock Rally contest. Tom Kestens and Lieven Moors later left the band, and in 2007 New Zealander Matt Eccles (formerly drums in Betchadupa) joined the band as the new drummer. In January 2008 Das Pop released "Fool For Love" on UK independent label Prestel Records. The release featured remixes from French DJ SebastiAn and Yuksek, and was called a "monumental new single from the Belgian electro band" in the Culture section of UK newspaper ''The Sunday Times''. Bernd Begemann (born 1 November 1962 in Braunschweig as ''Kay Stephan Rönnau'') is a contemporary German alt/ pop singer-songwriter, actor, producer and filmmusic-composer linked to the Hamburger Schule. Biography Begemann's biological parents were Aykut Ünyazıcı, a footballer from Turkey at Eintracht Braunschweig and a woman from Germany. In 1963, he was adopted by Bernhard Begemann at the age of six months, who gave him his new name. He was very successful as sportsman as a teen and young adult and won a lot of competitions, because he was extremely talented as very fast runner but in the end of the 1970s, in his hometown of Bad Salzuflen (Germany) he became a punk and he founded in 1979 a punk rock band with the "real rebel name", "Vatikan". An aerogram, aerogramme, aérogramme, air letter or airletter is a thin lightweight piece of foldable and gummed paper for writing a letter for transit via airmail, in which the letter and envelope are one and the same. Most postal administrations forbid enclosures in these light letters, which are usually sent abroad at a preferential rate. Printed warnings existed to say that an enclosure would cause the mail to go at the higher letter rate. Eskobar is the name of a Swedish Northie(Northern Indie)/indie/pop band that was founded in 1996 some 30 kilometres north of Stockholm, in the small town of Åkersberga. The band features Daniel Bellqvist as its lead singer, Frederik Zäll on guitars, and Jocke Brunnberg on drums. Tomte (band)
Tomte is an indie band from Hamburg, Germany. Their lyrics are almost completely in German and their sound could be described as guitar pop with some punk influences. The group are a part of the “Hamburger Schule” (Hamburg indie “school”) on the basis of the band Tocotronic Tocotronic is a German rock band founded in 1993 (see 1993 in music). Tom Liwa (born ''Thomas Greiner'', 25 October 1961) is a German singer-songwriter who has been performing as a solo artist in addition to being a founding member and frontman of the band Flowerpornoes. Slut is a German indie rock band from Ingolstadt, Bavaria. The band's lyrics are primarily written and sung in English. History The band was founded in 1994 by Christian Neuburger (vocals, guitar), Matthias Neuburger (drums), Rainer Schaller (guitar), Gerd Rosenacker (bass guitar) and Phillip Zhang the accompanying keyboard artist.
