Eddie Imazu
Edwin "Eddie" Imazu (12 November 1897 – 29 May 1979) was a Japanese-American art director and production designer, whose 50-year career in Cinema of the United States, Hollywood included television and movie credits. A 1936 Academy Award co-nominee for best art direction on ''The Great Ziegfeld,'' Imazu worked with Hollywood actors including Spencer Tracy, John Wayne and Marlon Brando. He was born in Yamaguchi (city), Yamaguchi, Japan and died in Los Angeles. Early life Imazu was born 12 November 1897 in Yamaguchi (city), Yamaguchi, Japan. Hiroshi Imazu
is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a former member of the House of Representatives in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Asahikawa on Hokkaido and graduate of Chuo University, he was elected to the first of his two terms in the city assembly of Asahikawa in 1975, to the first of his two terms in the Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly in 1983 and finally to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1990. Ōmi-Imazu Station
is a passenger railway station located in the city of Takashima, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, operated by the West Japan Railway Company (JR West). As a key station of the Kosei Line, the station has a yard on its south side. Lines Ōmi-Imazu Station is served by the Kosei Line, and is from the starting point of the line at and from . Previously most of the ''Special Rapid Service'' trains from the JR Kyoto Line turned at this station until 2006 when most ''Special Rapid Service'' trains were extended to Tsuruga Station. As of 2011, there is one such train in the morning that terminates at the station. The extension of the services to the north section required coupling and releasing of cars at this station since platforms of Ōmi-Shiotsu Station and beyond can only handle 4-car trains. Hankyū Imazu Line
The is a 9.3 km long commuter rail line in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan owned and operated by the private railway operator Hankyu Railway. It is the longest of three branchlines of the Hankyu Kobe Line. The line connects the cities of Nishinomiya and Takarazuka. Operation The Imazu Line runs between Imazu Station and Takarazuka Station. However, no trains run directly from one end to the other because the tracks have split since 1984 at Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi Station, where the line crosses the Kobe Line. Typical Imazu Line trains stop every station between Imazu and Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi (south section) or Nishinomiya-Kitaguchi and Takarazuka (north section). Imazu Station (Ōita)
is a passenger railway station located in the city of Nakatsu, Ōita Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR Kyushu. Lines The station is served by the Nippō Main Line and is located 60.1 km from the starting point of the line at . Layout The station consists of two side platforms serving two tracks. Both tracks run on the south side of their respective platforms, suggesting that platform 2 was once an island platform but the middle line has been removed. The station building is a wooden structure of traditional Japanese design and houses a staffed ticket window, a waiting area and an automatic ticket vending machine. Access to the opposite side platform is by means of a footbridge. JR Kyushu ceased to staff the station in March 2015.
