Immanuel ( he, עִמָּנוּאֵל, 'Īmmānū'ēl, meaning, "God is with us"; also romanized: , ; and or in Koine Greek of the New Testament) is a Hebrew name that appears in the Book of Isaiah (7:14) as a sign that God will protect the House of David. Imanol Agirretxe Arruti (born 24 February 1987) is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a striker. Aside from a short loan spell at Castellón, his entire professional career was spent at Real Sociedad. At the latter club, he amassed competitive totals of 272 matches and 75 goals, while in La Liga alone he scored 56 times from 180 appearances. Club career Born in Usurbil, Gipuzkoa, Agirretxe was a product of Real Sociedad's youth system. Manuel María Arias Domínguez (born 26 April 1956 in Riaño, León, Spain) better known as Imanol Arias, is a Spanish actor and film director. Career Imanol Arias began his career with a travelling theatre group performing in the Basque Country of northern Spain. He debuted on TV in 1976 and his first film was Humberto Solás's ''Cecilia'' (1982). In 1987 he won the prize at the San Sebastian Film Festival for the role of Eleuterio Sánchez in '' El Lute: Run for Your Life'' (El Lute: camina o revienta, 1987). Imanol Alguacil Barrenetxea (born 4 July 1971), known simply as Imanol as a player, is a Spanish retired footballer who played as a right-back, currently manager of Real Sociedad. He appeared in 121 matches in La Liga over nine seasons (eight goals scored), representing Real Sociedad and Villarreal. Imanol Etxeberria Egaña (born 27 March 1973) is a Spanish retired professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He appeared in 175 La Liga matches during seven seasons, with Athletic Bilbao and Rayo Vallecano. He typically played as a number 8 for Stade Toulousain at club level in the Top 14 and for France internationally.
