Imam Khomeini International University (IKIU) is an international university in Iran that was founded after the Islamic Revolution. The bill of IKIU’s constitution was ratified by the Iranian Parliament in January 1984. Constituent organs of IKIU include Board of trustees, president, and council. Deputies for Education, Research, and Students and Culture are some of the other departments. In addition, there is a Science and Technology Park, and central library with more than 100000 books and magazines. IKIU has formed the Brilliant-Talent students’ office to recognize top students and to support and guide the students, providing educational and welfare facilities. It has seven faculties. The Persian Language Teaching Center has hosted students from more than 96 countries, enjoying language labs, library, and computer site. Abolhassan Naeini
Dr. Abolhassan Naeini ( fa, ابوالحسن نائینی , born 1955 in Qazvin) is an Iranian academic and the chancellor of Imam Khomeini International University from 2004 to 2006 and also 2014 to present. He graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology and later received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology. Naeini was the only chancellor of the university who was elected as by faculty member. Hassan Ghafourifard ( fa, حسن غفوری‌فرد) (born 5 August 1943) is an Iranian academic and conservative politician. Ghafourifard held government portfolios in the 1980s, before being appointed as the Physical Education Organization under president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani.
