Ilysiakos B.C. (Greek: Ηλυσιακός Κ.Α.Ε.) is a Greek professional basketball team that is located in the Ilisia neighborhood of Zografou, Athens, Greece. The club's name is said to be a reference to Elysium, which is why the club's name and logo beings with a Greek alphabet Η, instead of an Ι, even though the name of Ilissia, where the club is based, begins with an Ι in Greek. Anastasios "Tasos" Antonakis (alternate spelling: Tassos) ( el, Αναστάσιος "Τάσος" Αντωνάκης; born February 9, 1992, in Athens, Greece) is a Greek professional basketball player who last played for Apollon Patras of the Greek A2 Basket League. Antonis Fotsis (alternate spelling: Antonios, Greek: Αντώνης Φώτσης; born April 1 or 2, 1981) is a Greek professional basketball player for Ilysiakos. Greek National Basketball Team
The Greece men's national basketball team ( el, Eθνική Oμάδα Καλαθοσφαίρισης Ελλάδος) represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked ninth in the FIBA World Rankings. Greece appeared eight times at the FIBA World Cup, their best performance coming in 2006 as runners-up, after beating the United States 101–95 in the tournament's semi-final.
