Ilya Yuryevich Shkurenyov (russian: Илья Юрьевич Шкуренёв; born 11 January 1991) is a Russian decathlete. His personal best score is 8538 points, achieved at the 2015 IAAF World Championships in Beijing. He was second at IAAF World Junior Championships in 2010, 4th at IAAF World Indoor Championships 2012 in heptathlon. 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2015 European Athletics Indoor Championships were held from 5 to 8 March 2015 in the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. Bidding process Prague was chosen as the host of the Championships on the European Athletics council meeting in Sofia, Bulgaria in May 2012. The other candidate city was Istanbul, Turkey. Previously, Prague hosted the 1967 European Indoor Games, the forerunner of the European Athletics Indoor Championships. The 2010 World Junior Championships in Athletics was an international athletics competition for athletes under the age of 20 which was held at the Moncton Stadium in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada from 19 to 25 July 2010. A total of 44 athletics events were contested at the Championships, 22 by male and 22 by female athletes. It was the second time that the event took place in Canada, after the 1988 edition in Sudbury. This became the last event announced by Scott Davis. The decathlon is a combined event in athletics consisting of ten track and field events. The word "decathlon" was formed, in analogy to the word "pentathlon", from Greek δέκα (''déka'', meaning "ten") and ἄθλος (''áthlos'', or ἄθλον, ''áthlon'', meaning "contest" or “prize”). Events are held over two consecutive days and the winners are determined by the combined performance in all. Performance is judged on a points system in each event, not by the position achieved. The decathlon is contested mainly by male athletes, while female athletes typically compete in the heptathlon. 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships
The 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships was held between 1 and 3 March 2019 at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. This was the second time this event was held in the city after the 1990 edition and the third time it was held in the United Kingdom, following the 2007 Edition in Birmingham, England. The three-day competition featured 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events and took place over three morning and three afternoon sessions. Bids Apeldoorn, Glasgow, Minsk and Toruń all submitted bids to host the 2019 European Indoor championships.
