Ilocos Norte, officially the Province of Ilocos Norte ( ilo, Probinsia ti Ilocos Norte; tl, Lalawigan ng Ilocos Norte), is a province of the Philippines located in the Ilocos Region. Its capital is Laoag City, located in the northwest corner of Luzon Island, bordering Cagayan and Apayao to the east, and Abra to the southeast, and Ilocos Sur to the southwest. Ilocos Norte faces the West Philippine Sea to the west and the Luzon Strait to the north. Ilocos Norte is noted for its distinctive geography and culture. Marcos, officially the Municipality of Marcos ( ilo, Ili ti Marcos; fil, Bayan ng Marcos), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Dumalneg
Dumalneg, officially the Municipality of Dumalneg ( ilo, Ili ti Dumalneg; fil, Bayan ng Dumalneg), is a 5th class municipality in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 3,087 people. Until 2013 when the writ of execution was issued, Dumalneg was composed of only a single barangay of the same name. On August 10, 2012, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Dumalneg in its territorial dispute with neighboring Bangui over the jurisdiction of Barangay San Isidro. Bangui Wind Farm
Bangui Wind Farm is a wind farm in Bangui, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. The wind farm uses 20 units of high Vestas V82 1.65 MW wind turbines, arranged in a single row stretching along a shoreline off Bangui Bay, facing the South China Sea. Phase I of the NorthWind power project in Bangui Bay consisted of 15 of those wind turbines, each with a maximum production capacity of 1.65 MW of electric power, making a total of 24.75 MW. Batac, officially the City of Batac ( ilo, Siudad ti Batac; fil, Lungsod ng Batac), is a 5th class component city in the province of Ilocos Norte, Philippines. More loosely, it refers to "the people's pulling their efforts together." Batac has an interesting colloquial origin of its name.
