Ilia Spiridonov
Ilia Romanovich Spiridonov (russian: Илья Романович Спиридонов; born 5 February 1998) is a Russian pair skater. With former partner Amina Atakhanova, he is the 2015–16 JGP Final bronze medalist. Career Early years Spiridonov began skating in 2002. He and Amina Atakhanova began competing together in December 2014, coached by Natalia Pavlova and Alexander Zaitsev in Moscow. 2015–2016 season Atakhanova/Spiridonov's international debut came in September 2015, at the 2015 Junior Grand Prix (JGP) competition in Linz, Austria. Ranked first in both segments, the pair won gold by a margin of 3.79 points over the Czech Republic's Anna Dušková / Martin Bidař. At their second JGP assignment, in Toruń, Poland, they were awarded the silver medal behind Ekaterina Borisova / Dmitry Sopot of Russia. The 2015–16 Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final and ISU Junior Grand Prix Final took place from December 10 to 13, 2015 in Barcelona, Spain. Hosted by Barcelona for the second year in a row, the combined event was the culmination of two international series — the 2015–16 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating, Grand Prix of Figure Skating and the 2015–16 ISU Junior Grand Prix, Junior Grand Prix. 2016 World Junior Figure Skating Championships
The 2016 World Junior Figure Skating Championships were held from 14–20 March 2016 in Debrecen, Hungary. Commonly called "World Juniors" and "Junior Worlds", the event determined the World Junior champions in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Anna Dušková / Martin Bidař and Daniel Samohin became the first World Junior champions in figure skating from the Czech Republic and Israel, respectively. With his former partner, Anastasia Mishina, he is the 2016 World Junior silver medalist and the 2016 JGP Final champion. On the national level, they are the 2016 Russian Junior champion.
