Ilia Chernousov
Ilia Grigoryevich Chernousov (russian: Илья Григорьевич Черноу́сов; born 7 August 1986) is a Russian cross-country skier. He won bronze medals at the 2011 World Championships and 2014 Winter Olympics. Career Chernousov's first World Cup victory was in the 4×10 km relay in Switzerland in 2007. His best individual results came in the 30 km pursuit in 2011: a third place at the world championship and the first place at the world cup. At the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo, he finished 31st in the 15 km + 15 km double pursuit event. At the 2014 Olympics Chernousov finished third in the 50 km freestyle. Selina Gasparin (born 3 April 1984) is a Swiss biathlete. Biography She won a silver medal in the Individual at 2014 Winter Olympics. Gasparin competed in the 2010 Winter Olympics for Switzerland. The men's 30 kilometre skiathlon cross-country skiing competition at the 2014 Sochi Olympics was held on 9 February 2014 at 14:00 MSK at the Laura Biathlon & Ski Complex. The event is split into half distance classic skiing and half distance skate skiing. Summary Dario Cologna from Switzerland won the gold medal. Marcus Hellner, the defending Olympic champion from Sweden, finished second, and Martin Johnsrud Sundby from Norway came third. For much of the free skiing half of the course about fifteen athletes were skiing together, and only close to the stadium, a group of four, Cologna, Hellner, Sundby and Maxim Vylegzhanin escaped. At the stadium, Cologna escaped and became the champion. Sundby finished third closely ahead of Vylegzhanin, and the Russian delegation filed a protest because he apparently changed the track in the finish area, impeding Vylegzhanin.
