Ilha Dos Amores
Ilha dos Amores is a Portugal, Portuguese telenovela produced by Televisão Independente, TVI, that began on 26 March 2007 and, ultimately ended on 9 December 2008, authored by Maria João Mira and Diogo Horta. Apart from its theme of finding love, its principal theme was emigration. The action centered principally in the Azores, but also included segments in Canada and continental Portugal. Principal photography began in January 2007, and filming in the Azores continued until August 2008. Production During the telenovela, the story centres on the tragic protagonists ''Beatriz Machado da Câmara'' (Sofia Nicholson) and ''Jaime Valente'' (Adriano Luz) who perish on the first episode of the series. The story's protagonists, therefore, become their two eldest children ''Clara Machado da Câmara'' (Sofia Alves) and ''Tomé Valente'' (Marco d'Almeida). Maria João Mira (born 18 September 1959 in Lisbon) is a Portuguese screenwriter who authored several successful telenovelas. Biography Mira was the first director of the ''Casa da Criação'' (''House of Creation''), a television writing company founded in 2001 by the production company ''Nicolau Breyner Produções''. Her son, André Ramalho, is also a screenwriter. They have been working together on some occasions. Daniel Antonio Cardoso (born 6 October 1989) is a South African soccer player who plays as a defender for Sekhukhune United in the Premier Soccer League. Early life Cardoso was born in Johannesburg.
