Ilan Shavit
Ilan Shavit ( he, אילן שביט, born 31 July 1958) is an Israeli lawyer, businessman and entrepreneur. Shavit is a founding partner of the commercial and corporate Tel Aviv law firm Shavit Bar-On Gal-On Tzin Yagur and of the Shaviram property group. Personal Ilan Shavit was born in London, England and studied at Barclay House School and JFS. He immigrated to Israel in 1972 and studied at the Gymnasia Rehavia in Jerusalem from which he graduated in 1976. In 1986 he relocated with his family to Tel Aviv. Legal education and career Shavit graduated from the Law Faculty of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in 1984 and continued LL.M studies at that faculty. He was a lecturer in Public International Law in the Hebrew University Law Faculty and a member of the Law Review editorial board. Gabriel Bach
Gabriel Bach ( he, גבריאל בך; 13 March 1927 – 18 February 2022) was a German-born Israeli jurist, who was a judge of the Supreme Court of Israel and was the deputy prosecutor in the prosecution of Adolf Eichmann. Biography Bach was born in Halberstadt, Saxony, Prussia, Germany, on 13 March 1927. He was the son of Victor Bach, who was the general manager of the Hirsch copper and brass factory, and his wife Erna (née Benscher) Bach. He grew up in Berlin-Charlottenburg, Brandenburg, and attended Theodor Herzl School. In October 1938 the Bach family emigrated from Nazi Germany to Amsterdam, where he continued to attend school. He was the only survivor of his Jewish classmates from this school. In 1940, a month before the invasion of the Netherlands by the German army, the family booked a passage to Mandatory Palestine and settled in Jerusalem. Jordan Valley (Middle East)
The Jordan Valley ( ar, غور الأردن, ''Ghor al-Urdun''; he, עֵמֶק הַיַרְדֵּן, ''Emek HaYarden'') forms part of the larger Jordan Rift Valley. Granite Battalion
The 932nd "Granite" Battalion is part of the Israeli Defense Force's Nahal Brigade. History Battalion 932 was established in June 1976 and until Operation Peace for Galilee functioned as a routine security battalion belonging to Central Command. Its main area of activity before the First Lebanon War was the northern sector of the Jordanian border with the West Bank in the Jordan Valley, replacing Sayeret Haruv which had been disbanded. It was based in Camp Gadi, next to Masua, and manned mainly by Nahal soldiers.
