Il Triangolo Rosso
''Il triangolo rosso'' is an Italian television series broadcast by RAI in 1967 and 1969. It was directed by Mario Maffei, Piero Nelli and Ruggero Deodato, the main performers were Jacques Sernas, Riccardo Garrone, and Elio Pandolfi. The main characters in the stories were a Polizia Stradale lieutenant and two brigadiers, who investigate to uncover the dynamics of serious accidents. The events are inspired by actual events. The first series, consisting of six episodes, was broadcast on Fridays on the second channel. The second series, of seven episodes, aired two years later on Thursday night on the national program. The opening credits theme song, ''Guarda dove vai,'' by Franco Califano and Totò Savio, was performed by Marie Laforêt. The end theme song, ''Era uno come noi'', by Francesco Specchia and Claudio Cavallaro, was played by I Profeti. I Profeti
I Profeti ("The Prophets") were an Italian pop group, mainly successful in the late sixties and in the seventies. Career The group formed in 1964 in Milan. They initially had a beat repertoire, and released their first single in 1966, "Bambina sola", a cover of The Grass Roots' "You're a Lonely Girl". In 1967 the band released their first album, ''Bambina sola'', which was widely influenced by American contemporary folk music. In 1968 the band got their first domestic hit with "Gli occhi verdi dell'amore", a cover of Chip Taylor's " Angel of the Morning". The song signalled a progressive distancing from the Beat genre. In 1970 lead singer Renato Brioschi recorded, with the name "Renato dei Profeti", the song ″Lady Barbara,″ which peaked at first place on the Italian hit parade. Marie Laforêt (born Maïtena Marie Brigitte Doumenach; 5 October 1939 – 2 November 2019) was a French singer and actress, particularly well known for her work during the 1960s and 1970s. In 1978, she moved to Geneva, and acquired Swiss citizenship. Birth name Her first name Maïtena, which is of Basque origin, means "beloved", and is sometimes used by the inhabitants of Languedoc, especially of Pyrénées and also resembles the diminutive of the name Marie-Thérèse, "Maïthé". Gaetano Savio (18 November 1937 – 25 July 2004), better known as Totò Savio, was an Italian composer, lyricist, producer, guitarist and occasional singer. Early life Born in Naples, Savio started playing guitar at six years old, and at 13 he won a radio contest for guitarists. In 1955 he became a member of the musical group of Marino Marini, with whom he toured in Europe and Africa. In 1961 he founded a band that bore his name, with whom he toured across Italy and participated to several radio and television programs. Ruggero Deodato (born 7 May 1939) is an Italian film director, screenwriter, and sometime actor. His career has spanned a wide-range of genres including peplum, comedy, drama, poliziottesco and science fiction, yet he is perhaps best known for directing violent and gory horror films with strong elements of realism.
