Il Teatro degli Orrori was an Italian noise rock band from Venice. The band's name (''Theater of Horrors'') is inspired by the Theatre of Cruelty of Antonin Artaud. Biography The group formed in the winter of 2005. The line-up consisted of Pierpaolo Capovilla (frontman of One Dimensional Man (band)), Francesco Valente ( One Dimensional Man (band) post Dario Perissutti) and Jonathan Mirai (voice and guitar of Super Elastic Bubble Plastic). They were later joined by Giulio Favero (formerly One Dimensional Man (band)), thus completing the line-up. On 6 April 2007 their first album, called Dell'Impero delle Tenebre, was released. On 20 June 2008 the band attended the Heineken Jammin 'Festival supporting Linea 77. On 25 March 2009, the compilation Afterhours presentano: Il paese è reale (19 artisti per un paese migliore?) was released, an idea of Manuel Agnelli of Afterhours following the group's participation at the Sanremo Festival in 2009, to support and promote indie ... Afterhours is an Italian alternative rock band. The band was named after the Velvet Underground song of the same name. Biography The Afterhours were formed in 1985 in Milan around Manuel Agnelli, a Velvet Underground fan. They debuted in 1987 with the single ''My bit boy'', followed a year later by the EP ''All Good Children Go to Hell''. The band has released two albums and two EPs in English. Since ''Germi'' (1995), the group switched to Italian language, except for ''Ballads for Little Hyenas'', produced by Afghan Whigs leader Greg Dulli, who also played with the group in a 2006 tour in the United States. Il Mondo Nuovo (''The New World'') is the third studio album by the Italian band Il Teatro degli Orrori, released in 2012. The album was a finalist for the Premio Tenco 2012 in the category "Album of the Year". Album The album title pays homage to the work Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. The record looks like a concept album about immigration and initially had the title'' Stories of an immigrant'' (in reference to ''Storia di un impiegato'' by Fabrizio De André). The album cover is called ''Face Cancel'', by Roberto Coda Zabetta. The song ''Ion'' is dedicated to Ion Cazacu, Romanian worker killed by fire in 2000 in Varese, the entrepreneur, head of the company where he worked Ion, killed him after it had rebelled against the inhumane working conditions to which he was subjected, along his companions. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family.
