Ikuru
Telenyem Renner Ikuru (born 24 February 1966), commonly known as Tele Ikuru, is a Nigerian engineer and politician. He was first elected Deputy Governor of Rivers State in 2007 on a PDP ticket with Gov. Celestine Omehia. After the court annulled Omehia's election that year, he was picked to serve under Chibuike Amaechi and was reelected to the office in 2011. Ikuru was among state officials who joined the All Progressive Congress with Gov. Amaechi in 2013. He later defected back to the People's Democratic Party on 22 March 2015. Early life and education Tele Ikuru was born and raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. His family roots are originally from Ikuru town Andoni. In 1992, he earned a Bachelor of Technology (B. Deputy Governor Of Rivers State
The Deputy Governor of Rivers State is the second highest-ranking official in the executive branch of Rivers State, after the Governor. The Constitution of 1999 requires that the gubernatorial nominee of a party select his or her deputy governor running mate after the primary. The Deputy Governor's duties include assisting the Governor and replacing him or her in the case of death, resignation, removal, impeachment, absence or incapacity due to illness. Since 1999, individuals who have held this office have been members of the PDP. On 11 April 2015, former SSG Ipalibo Banigo was elected the 6th and 1st female Deputy Governor of Rivers State. Ipalibo Gogo Banigo (née Harry; born 20 December 1952) is a Nigerian medical doctor, politician and the first female Deputy Governor of Rivers State. A member of the People's Democratic Party, she has held various important offices at the Rivers State Ministry of Health. During her service, she assumed the positions of Director of Public Health Services, Acting Commissioner, Director-General and Permanent Secretary. Celestine Omehia
Sir Celestine Ngozichim Omehia (born 15 September 1959) was the fourth Governor of Rivers State, Nigeria from 29 May 2007 to 25 October 2007. He is a member of the former ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP). He is married to Mrs. Anthonia Omehia (née Itakpe) and they have three children (Keturah, Kelechi and Kechikamma). He served as Rivers State Commissioner of Education between February 1992 and November 1993 and was later appointed an adviser to Governor Peter Odili.
