Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry (judge, Born 1950)
Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry () is a former justice in the Supreme Court of Pakistan and a former Chief Justice of Lahore High Court. Before elevation to the judge of Lahore High Court, he was serving as Additional Advocate General Punjab to represent the Government of Punjab, Pakistan. Earlier he remained Assistant Advocate General Punjab from 1988 to 1995. Early life Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry is the son of Chaudhry Abdul Aziz and was born in village Jabbal, Tehsil Shakargarh, District Narowal on 12 December 1950.. He was educated at Government Islamia College, Civil Lines, Lahore. After doing Bachelor of Laws, Justice Ijaz Ahmad Chaudhry started practicing law in 1975 and was enrolled as an Advocate High Court in 1977. He ascended to be an Advocate Supreme Court in 1992. Shakargarh ( ur, ), the capital of Shakargarh Tehsil, is a city in the north-eastern part of Narowal District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It borders Jammu, India to the north and Sialkot to the west Its literacy rate is more than 85% which is the highest literacy rate tehsil-wise. The city is located at 32°16'0N 75°10'0E and is situated at the west bank of the Ravi River.
