Ijaazat
''Ijaazat'' () is an 1987 Indian Hindi-language musical romance film directed by Gulzar, based on a Bengali story, ''Jatugriha'' by Subodh Ghosh. Starring Rekha, Naseeruddin Shah and Anuradha Patel in leading roles, the film followed the story of couple who are separated and who accidentally meet in a railway station waiting room and discover some truths about their lives without each other. The film belongs to the art-house genre in India known as Parallel Cinema, and won two National Film Awards in the music category. The movie is based on the 1964 Bengali movie ''Jatugriha.'' 34th Filmfare Awards
The 34th Filmfare Awards were held in 1988, after a 2-year gap. ''Tezaab'' led the ceremony with 12 nominations, followed by ''Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'' with 11 nominations and ''Khoon Bhari Maang'' with 7 nominations. ''Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'' won 8 awards, including Best Film, Best Director (for Mansoor Khan), Best Male Debut (for Aamir Khan) and Best Female Debut (for Juhi Chawla), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony and catapulted Khan and Chawla to superstardom overnight. Sampooran Singh Kalra (born 18 August 1934), known professionally as Gulzar, is an Indian Urdu poet, lyricist, author, screenwriter, and film director known for his works in Hindi cinema. He is regarded as one of greatest Urdu poets of this era. He started his career with music director S.D. Burman as a lyricist in the 1963 film ''Bandini'' and worked with many music directors including R. D. Burman, Salil Chowdhury, Vishal Bhardwaj and A. R. Rahman. Anuradha Patel (born 30 August 1961) is an Indian actress of the famous Ganguly family. Early life Anuradha was born in Mumbai. "Mera Kuch Samaan" (Hindi: मेरा कुछ सामान, literally: Some of my things) is a popular song from the acclaimed 1987 movie ''Ijaazat'', directed by Gulzar, who also wrote the song. The song was composed by R D Burman and sung by Asha Bhosle. In the film, the song takes cue from the poem, Maya (Anuradha Patel) leaves behind in letter, for her former lover Mahinder (Naseeruddin Shah), asking him to return her things. Ashok Mehta
Ashok Mehta (1947 – 15 August 2012) was a noted national film award-winning Indian film cinematographer, known for films such as '' Bandit Queen'' (1994), '' 36 Chowringhee Lane'' (1981) and ''Utsav'' (1984). Naseeruddin Shah
Naseeruddin Shah (born 20 July 1950) is an Indian actor. He is notable in Indian parallel cinema. He has also starred in international productions.
