Ihor Sholin ( uk, Ігор Миколайович Шолін; 4 June 1985 – 16 December 2009) was a professional Ukrainian football midfielder. Career He played for FC Nizhyn, FC Nistru Otaci, FC Karpaty Lviv, FC Nafkom Brovary, FC Dacia Chişinău and FC Dynamo Khmelnytskyi. 18 July 2009 had an accident. At 12.10 on the highway Stryi – Znamianka near the village of Verbka, the bus "LAZ" with team of FC Dynamo Khmelnytskyi was driving in the direction of Vinnytsia at the cup match against FC Irpin Horenychi. At this time heading in the opposite direction the car "Gazel", which inexplicably went into the oncoming lane and crashed into a bus. Nizhyn
Nizhyn ( uk, Ні́жин, Nizhyn, ) is a city located in Chernihiv Oblast of northern Ukraine along the Oster River. The city is located north-east of the national capital Kyiv. Nizhyn serves as the administrative center of Nizhyn Raion. Stryi ( uk, Стрий, ; pl, Stryj) is a city located on the left bank of the river Stryi in Lviv Oblast (region) of western Ukraine 65 km to the south of Lviv (in the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains). FC Irpin Horenychi was an amateur club from Horenychi and participated in the regional competitions of Kyiv Oblast. The club became famous for fielding former Ukraine international footballers who were about to retire from professional sport. The club was founded in 2005, although Horenychi used to have a football team before that won several champion titles of Kyiv Oblast back in 1960s-1970s. The club dissolved in 2009.
