Igor Vori
Igor Vori (born 20 September 1980) is a Croatian retired handball player and current coach. He is currently working as the sports director of the Croatian national team. Vori competed for Croatia in the 2004, 2008 and the 2012 Summer Olympics. Club career Vori played in RK Zagreb and has also played for FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. He won the EHF Champions League with HSV Hamburg during the 2012–13 season. Vori was shortlisted in the IHF's election of the 2009 World Handball Player of the Year. He retired in June 2018. International career Vori is World champion from 2003, and Olympic champion from 2004 with the Croatian national team. He received a silver medal at the 2005 World Championship, and a silver medal at the 2008 European Championship, where he also was voted ''Best defensive player''. Handball Sport Verein Hamburg is a handball club from Germany, located in Hamburg. Currently, Handball Hamburg competes in the Handball-Bundesliga. The full name in German is ''Handball Sport Verein Hamburg e.V.'' but the club has traditionally been called ''HSV Handball'', ''HSV Hamburg'' or simply ''HSV''. The IHF Men's Handball World Championship has been organized indoor by the International Handball Federation since 1938. In the twenty-seven tournaments held, eleven nations have won the title. Handball
Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The Mediterranean Games is a multi-sport event organised by the International Committee of Mediterranean Games (CIJM). It is held every four years among athletes from countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea in Africa, Asia and Europe. The 2012 EHF European Men's Handball Championship was the tenth edition of the men's continental handball tournament, which was held in Serbia between 15 and 29 January 2012. Sixteen teams qualified for the event, including host nation Serbia, defending champion France and fourteen national teams through the qualifying tournament. The 2010 EHF European Men's Handball Championship (9th tournament) was held in Austria from 19 to 31 January, in the cities of Vienna, Graz, Innsbruck, Linz and Wiener Neustadt. The 2013 World Men's Handball Championship was the 23rd World Men's Handball Championship, an international handball tournament that took place in Spain from 11 to 27 January 2013. This was the first time Spain hosted the World Men's Handball Championship, becoming the twelfth country to host the competition. Spain won the title, beating Denmark in the final 35–19. It was Denmark's second final in a row.
