Ignas Vaitkus
Ignas Vaitkus (born 22 February 1993) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player for Nevėžis Kėdainiai of the Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL). Early career Born in Šiauliai, Vaitkus started his career with Saulė-Aukštabalis Šiauliai of the third-tier Regional Basketball League (RKL), where he played for one season in 2011–12. In 2012, he moved to the NKL when he signed with Meresta Pakruojis. Professional career Vaitkus started his professional career with BC Mažeikiai in 2014. He made his debut in the Lithuanian Basketball League on 27 September 2014, scoring 17 points in a loss against Neptūnas Klaipėda. On 3 August 2023, Vaitkus returned to Nevėžis Kėdainiai. Lietuvos krepšinio lyga (LKL) (''English'': Lithuanian Basketball League), also known as Betsafe LKL for sponsorship reasons, is the premier professional men's club basketball league in Lithuania. It is composed of 12 teams, and it is a member of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation. The best LKL clubs are also annual participants of the top European-wide basketball competitions, including European professional club basketball system, the top-tier level EuroLeague. Basketball Club Neptūnas ( lt, Krepšinio klubas Neptūnas), commonly known as Neptūnas or Neptūnas Klaipėda, is a Lithuanian professional basketball team based in Klaipėda, Lithuania. The club participates in the Lithuanian Basketball League and internationally in the Champions League. It was founded in 1962 under the name BC Maistas (English: Food) and in 1964, BC Maistas's name was changed to BC Neptūnas. The club carries the name of the Roman sea god Neptune. Neptūnas participated in the 2014–15 EuroLeague season and is only the third Lithuanian club to participate in the premier European basketball league, after Žalgiris and Rytas. The National Basketball League (NKL) (), also known as 7bet-NKL for sponsorship reasons, is the second-tier basketball minor league in Lithuania. RKL ''(Lithuanian: Regioninė Krepšinio Lyga, English: Regional Basketball League)'' is a third Lithuania basketball league. Regional Basketball League started their activity in 2005. RKL consists of 32 basketball teams from 28 Lithuania cities. Regions divided to four groups: Aukštaitija, Žemaitija, Suvalkija and center of Lithuania. Each group has eight basketball teams.
