If Not Now Then When?
''If Not Now Then When?'' is the debut solo studio album by English artist and record producer Ethan Johns. Inspired by the 22 minute opus of the same name by early 1990s Dublin band Spacepony UK (members of which later formed Future Kings Of Spain), it was released in November 2012 on vinyl and was scheduled to be released in other formats in February 2013, by his own Three Crows Music label. The album was recorded in early 2012 and was engineered by Dominic Monks. ''If Not Now Then When?'' was mixed by Johns' father, audio engineer and record producer Glyn Johns, at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. The album features performances with Ryan Adams, Laura Marling and Danny Thompson. Bill Wyman played bass guitar on "Red Rooster Blue." Johns will follow the vinyl release of the album with a full UK tour of independent record stores in November 2012. ''L.W.'' (subtitled ''Explorations into Microtonal Tuning, Volume 3'') is the seventeenth studio album by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, officially released on 25 February 2021 on their own label. The album was preceded by 3 singles, ("If Not Now, Then When?", "O.N.E." and "Pleura") which were released alongside music videos uploaded to YouTube. ''L.W.'' is a companion album to '' K.G. Explorations into Microtonal Tuning, Volume 2'', released only four months before, and a continuation of microtonal themes first featured in ''Flying Microtonal Banana'' (2017). The Motels are an American new wave band from Berkeley, California, that is best known for the singles "Only the Lonely" and "Suddenly Last Summer", each of which peaked at No. 9 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100, in 1982 and 1983, respectively. In 1980, The Motels song " Total Control" reached No. 7 on the Australian chart (for two weeks), and their song "Danger" reached No. 15 on the French chart. Earl Slick (born Frank Madeloni in Brooklyn, New York, October 1, 1952) is a guitarist best known for his collaborations with David Bowie, John Lennon, Yoko Ono and Robert Smith. He has also worked with other artists including John Waite, Tim Curry and David Coverdale, in addition to releasing several solo recordings, and two records with Phantom, Rocker & Slick, the band he formed with Slim Jim Phantom & Lee Rocker (both from Stray Cats). Jonathan Lee "Jon" Siebels (born August 27, 1979) is an American musician, best known as the guitarist of the band Eve 6. He became a part of the band after meeting bassist and lead vocalist Max Collins during Siebels' freshman year in Crescenta Valley High School.
