Ieu Pannakar
Ieu Pannakar ( km, អៀវ បណ្ណាការ; 21 February 1931 – 10 May 2018) was a Cambodian film director and statesman. Among the first Cambodians to study film making, he was one of Cambodia's pioneering film directors. He was a co-founder (with fellow Cambodian director Rithy Panh) of Bophana: The Audio-Visual Resource Center - Cambodia. Pannakar served as honorary president of Bophana's oversight organisation, the , or . Pannaker served in the Senate of Cambodia, as a nominee of King Norodom Sihamoni. He has also headed the cinematic division of the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts. Senate Of Cambodia
The Senate ( km, ព្រឹទ្ធសភា, ) is the upper house of the Parliament of Cambodia. It is a legislative body composed of 62 members. Fifty-eight of the Senate seats are elected every six years by the commune councillors from 24 provinces of Cambodia and members of the National Assembly. In addition, the King nominates two senators, and the National Assembly nominates two, ending with a total of 62 senators. The Senate performs its duties as determined in the constitution and law in force. The Senate is chaired and presided by the president, currently Say Chhum of the Cambodian People's Party and assisted by two Vice Presidents. Ieu Koeus ( km, អៀវ កើស; 1905 – 14 January 1950) was a Cambodian politician. He served as President of the National Assembly of Cambodia from 1946 to 1949, and as Prime Minister of Cambodia for nine days in September 1949. Considered an intellectual, he was instrumental in the formation of the Cambodian Democratic Party in April 1946, created a self-declared government on September 20, 1949, was replaced by Yem Sambaur on September 29. Rithy Panh ( km, ប៉ាន់ រិទ្ធី; born April 18, 1964) is a Cambodian documentary film director and screenwriter. The French-schooled director's films focus on the aftermath of the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia. Rithy Panh's works are from an authoritative viewpoint, because his family were expelled from Phnom Penh in 1975 by the Khmer Rouge. Norodom Sihamoni
Norodom Sihamoni ( km, នរោត្តម សីហមុនី, ; born 14 May 1953) is King of Cambodia. He became King on 14 October 2004, a week after the abdication of his father, Norodom Sihanouk. He is the eldest son of Norodom Sihanouk and former Queen Consort Norodom Monineath and was Cambodia's ambassador to UNESCO, prior to his selection by a nine-member throne council to become the next king.
