Idol 2016 is the twelfth season of the Swedish ''Idol'' series. This is the first year with a new jury consisting of Fredrik Kempe, Nikki Amini and Quincy Delight Jones III. Presenter of the show is as previous Pär Lernström. Fredrik Kempe
Fredrik Kempe (born 29 April 1972) is a Swedish songwriter and opera and pop singer, who was born in Vårgårda. He has participated in Swedish versions of the musicals ''Les Misérables'' and ''Chess''. In 2002, Kempe had a hit with ''Vincerò'', where he mixed opera and Euro disco. He was a jury member in ''Idol 2016'' which was broadcast on TV4. Melodifestivalen Kempe has participated in Melodifestivalen twice as a performer. He entered Melodifestivalen 2004 with the song "Finally", a tribute to his favourite composer Benny Andersson and in 2005 together with Sanna Nielsen singing ''Du och jag mot världen''. In Melodifestivalen 2007, he co-wrote three songs. One was "Cara Mia", performed by Måns Zelmerlöw and another was "Vågar du, vågar jag", performed by Sanna Nielsen. In Melodifestivalen 2008 he co-wrote the music and wrote the lyrics to the winning entry, "Hero", performed by Charlotte Perrelli. Nikki Amini
Negar Nikki Amini, (born 23 October 1984) is an Iranian-born Swedish marketer at Universal Music Groups office in London. Since 2016, she has served as a judge on the Swedish version of Idol broadcast on TV4 - 2016 alongside Fredrik Kempe and Quincy Jones III, and since 2017 alongside Kishti Tomita, Alexander Kronlund and Anders Bagge. She confirmed after 2020's final show that she will not appear in the next season of the show. Having begun her career as a marketer for the record label Warner Music, Amini has worked with musicians including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Avicii and Justin Bieber. Quincy Delight Jones III (born 23 December 1968), better known as QDIII, QD3 and Snoopy, is an English-born Swedish-American music producer and film producer. Pär Lernström
Pär Hugo Gustav Lernström, born 4 September 1980, is a Swedish television presenter, perhaps best known for presenting the Swedish Idol series on TV4. He has worked for SR Stockholm, Utbildningsradion, MTV:s morningshow "Mycket mer än müsli", Aftonbladet TV7 and Mix Megapol. Lernström has been TV-host for the Swedish version of Balls of Steel, (Ballar av stål). In 2011 Lernström started to work for TV4. He was TV-host for Parlamentet in 2011. On 1 March 2011 it was reported that Lernström were going to be the TV-host for Swedish Idol 2011, replacing Peter Jihde. He is presenting Talang 2017 which is broadcast on TV4. Liam Cacatian Thomassen (born 10 September 1997), known professionally as Liamoo, is a Swedish singer. In 2016, he won the twelfth season of Swedish ''Idol'' series and released his winner's single " Playing with Fire". Career 2016–2018: ''Idol'' and first single In 2016, Cacatian Thomassen auditioned to take part in the twelfth season of Swedish ''Idol''. During the Qualifying Week he took part in the fourth heat performing the song " Sure Thing", he failed to qualify for the Finals, but went through as a wildcard. He made it through the live shows to the final along with Rebecka Karlsson and Charlie Grönvall. On 9 December 2016 he won the contest. After winning ''Idol'', Cacatian Thomassen released his winner's single " Playing with Fire". Rebecka Karlsson
Ida ''Rebecka'' Eloise Karlsson (born 12 June 2000) is a Swedish singer. At the age of eight she participated in Talang 2009 which is broadcast on TV4. She again participated on the show in Talang 2014 which was broadcast on TV3, making it to the semifinal. In 2014, she signed with Popopjone Records and released the music single "Ghost Flower", which also became the official song for the LGBT-festival Pride Ung in Stockholm. Karlsson participated as a contestant on Idol 2016, ending up in second place during the 8 December final in Globen. TV4 (Sweden)
TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years. ''Idol'' is a Sweden, Swedish reality-competition talent show broadcast on TV4 (Sweden), TV4. It first appeared in August 2004, and became one of the most popular shows on Swedish television. Part of the Idols (TV series), ''Idols'' franchise, it originated from the reality program ''Pop Idol'' created by British people, British entertainment executive Simon Fuller, which was first aired in 2001 in the United Kingdom.
