Ideologia (Cazuza's Album)
''Ideologia'' is a 1988 album recorded by Cazuza, the third in his solo career. It won the Prêmio Sharp for best album in 1988 and sold more than 2 million copies. Many of Cazuza's hits are from this album, such as "Ideologia", "Brasil" and "Faz Parte do Meu Show". The album cover tried to create some controversy. It mixes swastika and star of David. It is a picture taken by Flavio Colker of an art work by Barrão, who gathered objects found in São Conrado Beach following a rainstorm and some illustrations. ''Ideologia'' is considered one of the main albums in Cazuza's solo career as it is the first recording in which the singer tells about his relation with AIDS and death, as it was his first album after the discovery that he was infected with HIV virus. Brazilian Rock
Brazilian rock refers to rock music produced in Brazil and usually sung in Portuguese. In the 1960s it was known as , from the Portuguese transcription of the line "Yeah, yeah, yeah" from the Beatles song "She Loves You". Gilberto Gil
Gilberto Passos Gil Moreira (; born 26 June 1942), is a Brazilian singer-songwriter and politician, known for both his musical innovation and political activism. From 2003 to 2008, he served as Brazil's Minister of Culture in the administration of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Roberto Frejat
Roberto Frejat (born May 21, 1962) is a musician, composer, singer and co-founder of the band Barão Vermelho. Frejat, who was born in Rio de Janeiro, is considered one of the most important people in the Brazilian Rock scene. He co-founded the band Barão Vermelho in 1981 playing the guitar and writing songs, then four years later he replaced Cazuza as lead vocalist in the band. He was in Barão Vermelho for 20 years before starting a solo career. He released two solo albums (in 2001 and 2003) before getting back together with Barão Vermelho. In January 2007 he played his last show with Barão Vermelho before they disbanded and is once again pursuing a solo career. São Conrado
São Conrado (Portuguese: /sɐ̃w̃ kõˈʁadu/) is a neighborhood in the South Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is nestled in between the neighborhoods of Barra da Tijuca to the southwest and Leblon to the northeast. The neighborhood takes its name from a small church, Igreja de São Conrado (''Church of São Conrado''), which was constructed early in the 20th century by Conrado Jacob Niemeyer (1831-1905).
