Identity And Action
Identity and Action ( it, Identità e Azione, IDeA) is a conservative political party in Italy, whose membership stretches from Christian democracy to liberal conservatism. The party's leader is Gaetano Quagliariello, a former minister for Institutional Reforms. History The party, whose complete name is Identity and Action – People and Freedom (''Identità e Azione – Popolo e Libertà''), was formed on 25 November 2015 by a group of splinters from the New Centre-Right (NCD), a centre-right party which was then part of government led by Matteo Renzi, leader of the centre-left Democratic Party (PD). Two deputies ( Vincenzo Piso and Eugenia Roccella) and four senators (Andrea Augello, Luigi Compagna, Carlo Giovanardi and Gaetano Quagliariello) left the NCD because they no longer supported its alliance with the PD. Gaetano Quagliariello
Gaetano Quagliariello (born 23 April 1960) is an Italian politician, former Minister of Constitutional Reforms and current leader of Identity and Action party. Biography Toti was born in Naples in 1960. During the University he was a member of the youth wing of the Italian Republican Party. In 1980s he became a member of the Radical Party led by Marco Pannella. In 1994 he joined Forza Italia, the conservative party of the media tycoon Silvio Berlusconi and after the 2006 general election he was elected member of the Chamber of Deputies. After the formation of the People of Freedom, he joined it and was again re-elected after the general election in 2008. Unique Italy
Unique Italy (''Italia Unica'', IU; ''unico/a'' translates both to "unique" and "united") was a centre-right political party in Italy. Guglielmo Vaccaro (born 23 February 1967 in Pompei) is a centre-left Italian politician of the Democratic Party in the faction around the Prime Minister of Italy, Enrico Letta. Carlo Amedeo Giovanardi (born 15 January 1950, in Modena) is an Italian politician, former member of the Senate, and leader of the socially conservative wing of the New Centre-Right party. Political career Giovanardi graduated in jurisprudence and did his military service in the Carabinieri. His political experience began in 1969, when he joined the Christian Democracy party (DC). Andrea Augello (born 24 February 1961) is an Italian politician. Political career In 1995 he was elected Regional Councilor of Lazio with about 7,000 votes, within the list of National Alliance; in 2000 he was re-elected with 15,000 votes, and was appointed Regional Assessor for Budget and Community Resources in the government led by Francesco Storace. Eugenia Maria Roccella (born 15 November 1953) is an Italian journalist and politician, who has been serving as Minister for Family, Natality and Equal Opportunities in the Meloni Cabinet since 22 October 2022.
