''Ideas Above Our Station'' is the first studio album by the English alternative rock band, Hundred Reasons, released on 20 May 2002 on Columbia Records. The album reached number 6 in the UK Albums Chart and is the band's most commercially successful album to date. In 2012, the band got together after a three-year break to celebrate the album's ten-year anniversary. Artwork The album cover art is a stylised photograph of the Lloyd's Building in London. Hundred Reasons
Hundred Reasons are an English alternative rock band from Aldershot, Hampshire, and Teddington, South West London, formed in 1999. The band consists of Colin Doran (vocals), Larry Hibbitt (guitar, vocals), Andy Gilmour (bass) and Andy Bews (drums). Having toured almost constantly for 14 months throughout the UK and Europe in support of their first releases EP1 (Cerebra), EP2 (Remmus) and EP3, (I'll Find You), Hundred Reasons released their debut album, '' Ideas Above Our Station'' (2002), to critical acclaim and commercial success. The album yielded the singles, "I'll find you", "If I Could", "Silver" and "Falter", and was followed by ''Shatterproof Is Not a Challenge'' in 2004. After being dropped by Columbia Records, the band signed with V2 Records and released their third studio album, ''Kill Your Own'' (2006). Stephen Marcussen is the founder and chief mastering engineer at Marcussen Mastering in Hollywood, California, United States. He has been mastering music since 1979. Biography Marcussen's introduction to music recording happened in 1976 when, at the age of 19, he was offered a janitor position at Studio 55, record producer Richard Perry's Los Angeles recording studio. At Studio 55, Marcussen received an education in all facets of music recording and sound production. By the end of his Studio 55 tenure, he had earned his first album credits as an assistant engineer, working on The Manhattan Transfer's ''Pastiche'', Boz Scaggs's ''Middle Man'', and The Pointer Sisters's ''Special Things''.
