Idealism (album)
''Idealism'' is the debut studio album by German electronic music duo Digitalism, released on 9 May 2007 by Virgin Records. In the United States, it was released on 19 June 2007 by Astralwerks. Five of the album's fifteen tracks—"Idealistic", "Zdarlight", "Digitalism in Cairo", "Jupiter Room" and "Pogo"—were previously released as EPs prior to the release. The song "Digitalism in Cairo" samples The Cure's 1979 song "Fire in Cairo". The CD gives access to Opendisc where seven additional tracks can be downloaded. "Idealistic" was used by Rockstar Games in the announcement trailer for their video game '' Midnight Club: Los Angeles''. It is also used in a commercial for Airness on French TV. Digitalism (band)
Digitalism are a German electronic music duo formed in Hamburg in 2004, consisting of Jens "Jence" Moelle and İsmail "Isi" Tüfekçi. The duo are signed to French label Kitsuné, as well as Virgin Records and Astralwerks in other parts of the world. Band history Formation, ''Idealism'' and ''I Love You Dude'' (2004–11) Moelle and Tüfekçi met at a record store in Hamburg and became friends. Later, the store's owner asked them to DJ a party, and they then began mixing and recording. According to Moelle, they record their music in a World War II bunker they own in Hamburg. Digitalism's debut album, ''Idealism'', was released in Japan on 9 May 2007 by Toshiba EMI, in France on 21 May 2007 by Kitsuné, in North America by Astralwerks, and in Australia and New Zealand by etcetc and Virgin Records. Pro Street is a style of street-legal custom car popular in the 1980s, usually built to imitate a Pro Stock class race car. Pro Street cars should appear to be more at home on the drag strip than the street, while remaining street legal and not gutted like a Race Car or Bracket Race car.
