DJ Tomekk
Tomasz Kuklicz (born 11 October 1975), known professionally as DJ Tomekk, is a Polish-born German-based hip hop DJ and record producer. Rappers who have featured in his songs include Ice-T, Fatman Scoop, Khia, Xzibit, Fler, Sido, Kurupt, Lil' Kim, KRS-One, Torch, Afrob, Flavor Flav, and GZA. DJ Tomekk's debut album, '' Return of Hip Hop'', was released in 2001, and was followed by '' Beat of Life Vol. 1'' in 2003 and ''Numma Eyns'' ("Number One") in 2005. Michael Sebastian Kurth (born 6 September 1978), better known as Curse, is a German rapper. Biography Curse has had a long musical past. In his youth, he played songs like "Zwei mal in den Kopf" ("Twice into the Head") in his former band Phat Kicks. In the 1990s, his band had gigs in the area of Stadthagen. In 2000, he rapped together with GZA, Prodigal Sunn and the Stieber Twins on the single "Ich lebe für Hip Hop" from DJ Tomekk, which was placed on the German charts. On his first album, ''Feuerwasser'', (released in 2000), his lyrics were self-reflective and dealt with things that had happened in his life, but also contained classical hip hop tracks such as representing- and battle-tracks. Lamar Ruff, known professionally as Prodigal Sunn, is an American rapper, actor & film producer. He is a member of Sunz of Man and Wu-Tang Clan original affiliate. Biography Prodigal Sunn is an American Rapper, Actor, & Film Producer from Brooklyn, New York. The Stieber Twins are a duo from Heidelberg, Germany, consisting of the brothers Martin (Marshall Mar, a.k.a. Martin Jekyll) and Christian (Luxus Chris a.k.a. Christian Hyde). They are known as graffiti artists, breakdancers, rappers, hip hop producers and DJs. The twins have been active since about 1983, and the two have been producing hip hop music since 1992. Turntablism
Turntablism is the art of manipulating sounds and creating new music, sound effects, mixes and other creative sounds and beats, typically by using two or more turntables and a cross fader-equipped DJ mixer. The mixer is plugged into a PA system (for live events) and/or broadcasting equipment (if the DJ is performing on radio, TV or Internet radio) so that a wider audience can hear the turntablist's music.
