Qualification for the men's tournament at the Ice hockey at the 2006 Winter Olympics, 2006 Winter Olympics was determined through the IIHF World Ranking following the 2004 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. The top eight teams in the World Ranking received automatic berths into the Olympics, Italy received a berth as the host, while all other teams had an opportunity to qualify for the remaining three spots in the Olympics through qualifying tournaments. Qualified teams ;Notes Qualification seeding *Great Britain and South Korea chose not to participate in Olympic qualifying. The men's competition, held from 15 to 26 February, was won by Sweden, and the women's competition, held from 11 to 20 February, was won by Canada. Kaupō is a district of ancient Hawaii (''moku'' in the Hawaiian language) of Maui island in Hawaii. Kaupō is a remote, sparsely populated, sustainable ranching community. Geography Kaupō is located along the southeastern shore of Maui, west of Kīpahulu along the Kahikinui coastline. Kaupō is located on a rugged and desolate coast. Konstantin Mihailov (also Mihaylov; ; born 22 May 1964) is a Bulgarian former professional ice hockey and roller in-line hockey goaltender. He played in 28 Ice Hockey World Championships with the Bulgaria men's national ice hockey team, and three IIHF Inline Hockey World Championships with the Bulgaria men's national inline hockey team, then retired from international play at age 51. His lengthy international career was recognized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) with receipt of the Torriani Award, which inducted him into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 2019.
