The men's ice hockey tournament at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, was the 18th Olympic Championship. Sweden won its first gold medal, becoming the sixth nation to ever win Olympic ice hockey gold. The tournament, held from February 12 to February 27, was played at the Fjellhallen in Gjøvik and the Håkons Hall in Lillehammer. There was no women's tournament at the Olympics until 1998. Christian Carl Due-Boje (born 12 October 1966) is a Swedish former ice hockey player. He began his career with Hammarby IF in 1983 and joined Djurgårdens IF in 1986. He remained with the team until 1997 where he moved to Södertälje SK for one season before moving to Germany's Deutsche Eishockey Liga with Star Bulls Rosenheim. Leif Rohlin
Leif Johan Rohlin (born February 26, 1968) is a former professional ice hockey defenceman who spent 2 seasons in the National Hockey League with the Vancouver Canucks and enjoyed a long career in Europe. He is currently the General Manager of VIK Västerås HK of the second level of Swedish ice hockey, HockeyAllsvenskan. Playing career Rohlin was selected 33rd overall in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks, following a strong performance at the 1988 World Junior Championships. Stefan Bror Karl Örnskog (born 4 April 1969) is a Swedish ice hockey player whose professional career as a left wing/centre lasted from 1987 to 2001 and was capped with a gold medal at the Lillehammer 1994 Winter Olympics in neighboring Norway, as well as with a silver and a bronze medal at the World Championships. Mats Näslund
Mats Torsten Näslund (born 31 October 1959), nicknamed "Le Petit Viking", is a Swedish former ice hockey player. He played as a left winger. Despite his small size at only five feet and seven inches, Näslund is best known for being one of the top forwards with the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens in the 1980s. In addition to the Canadiens, Näslund played for Timrå IK, Brynäs IF, and Malmö IF of the Swedish Elite League, and HC Lugano of the National League A. Håkan Loob
Håkan Per Loob (born 3 July 1960) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player for Färjestad BK of the Elitserien and the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League (NHL). He is the head of European Scouting for the Calgary Flames after resigning as president of Hockey Operations for Färjestad. Considered one of the greatest Swedish hockey players of all time, he was inducted into the International Ice Hockey Federation Hall of Fame in 1998 and the Swedish ice hockey Hall of Fame in 2012. The Elitserien created the Håkan Loob Trophy, awarded to the league's top goal scorer, in his honour in 2005 and Färjestad has retired his jersey number 5. Patric Göran Kjellberg (born June 17, 1969) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey left wing. He was drafted in the fourth round, 83rd overall, by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. Career Drafted from the Swedish Elite League's AIK, Kjellberg made his North American professional debut during the 1992–93 season with Montreal's AHL affiliate, the Fredericton Canadiens. Alf Tomas Jonsson (born 12 April 1960) is a former ice hockey player from Sweden. He is assistant coach for the Danish national ice hockey team. Jonsson was drafted by the New York Islanders in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft in the 2nd round, the 25th overall pick. During the 1980 World Junior Championships he and Reijo Ruotsalainen were the media's selections as the best defencemen of the tournament. Jonsson made his debut for the Islanders in the 1981–82 season, winning a Stanley Cup championship with the team in his first season. Kenny Per Anders Jönsson (born October 6, 1974) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player. Playing career Jönsson was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1st round as the 12th overall selection in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. After playing with the Toronto club during the 1994–95 lockout shortened season, he was traded midway through the 1995–96 season to the New York Islanders in a player exchange which brought highly popular former captain Wendel Clark back to Toronto. Ulf Peter Jörgen Jönsson (born 29 September 1972) is a Swedish former professional ice hockey player who last played for Färjestads BK of the Swedish Elitserien. He has represented the Team Sweden 285 times, making him the record holder for most games played in the national team. Roger Johansson
Roger Per Arne Johansson (born April 17, 1967 in Ljungby, Sweden) is a former professional Swedish ice hockey player. Roger Johansson joined Swedish Elite League club Färjestads BK in 1986, when he left Troja-Ljungby. He played with Färjestad until 1989, winning one Swedish Championship with them in 1988. In 1989 he signed with the Calgary Flames of the NHL who had drafted him in 1985 as the 80th pick overall. He played two seasons, a total of 73 games, with the Flames before returning home to Sweden and signing with Leksands IF. But he returned to the Flames in 1992 after only one season with Leksand in Swedish Elite League.
