Ibrahim Fazeel
Ibrahim Fazeel (born 9 October 1980) is a Maldivian footballer nicknamed "Oppo", who can play both as a midfielder and as a forward currently who plays for Llangefni Town FC He started his career while he was a student in Majeedhiyaa School in 1999. Fazeel played his first international match on 2 April 2000 against Syria (AFC Asian Cup Lebanon 2000) and scored first goal in the Golden jubilee international tournament against Bangladesh. He is the only player who scored for times in the semi-finals to take Maldives to the finals. After his international duty in 1999, he signed for his first club New lagoons in 2000. Between 2001 and 2003 he played for IFC which was the best club at that time. From 2004 to 2006 he changed to New Radiant SC. In 2007, a new club named VB signed him for a record fee. SAFF Championship
The South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly known as SAFF Championship (previously known as ''South Asian Association of Regional Co-operation Gold Cup'' and ''South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup''), is the main international association football competition of the men's national football teams governed by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). Ahmed Thoriq
Ahmed Thoriq (born 4 October 1980) is a Maldivian retired professional footballer, nicknamed "Tom". Biography He is from the island of Mahibadhoo in Alif Dhaal Atoll. International career His first competitive international tournament was the 2003 South Asian Football Federation Championship held in Bangladesh. He made only one appearance in the competition, by replacing Ali Umar as a substitute in their first match where they won 6–0 to Bhutan. He also was the joint top scorer in the 2005 with the fellow national teammates Ali Ashfaq and Ibrahim Fazeel with 3 goals, and 2009 SAFF Championship with Enamul Haque and Channa Ediri Bandanage by scoring a total of 4 goals. He officially retired from the national team, on 14 February 2013 with the teammate Assad Abdul Ghanee, after the friendly match played between Pakistan at Rasmee Dhandu Stadium. Ali Umar, Commissioner of Sports of Maldives (born 5 August 1980) is a Maldivian former footballer until his retirement in 2013. After he retired, he became a Member of the normalization committee appointed by FIFA to Football Association of Maldives from 2 December 2014 to 31 May 2016. Later he was elected to vice president and as an executive committee member for Football Association of Maldives. In 27 March 2018 he was appointed as the Commissioner of Sports of Maldives. Llangefni (meaning "church on the River Cefni", ) is the county town of Anglesey in Wales and contains the principal offices of the Isle of Anglesey County Council.
